Supposed to be in effect this year. $20.5m, max 105 roster, 4% increase in cap over next two seasons. The position % comps in the article don't make sense to me. How can a college devote 20% of their cap to a QB like in the NFL when there are potentially double the # of players on a college roster?Wasnt some sort of cap supposed to come into play? What year does that start to work?
I believe the NIL Clearinghouse thing with Deloitte is just for 3rd party NIL deals. https://www.collegesportscommission.org/ this deals with RevShare enforcement if I understand it correctly.Just saw your post. Yea the cap, and also the NIL commission to make sure these deals are legitly priced. Tf happened to all of that. I figured it would kick in this year.
going to the NFLWhere is Lew?
Slightly off-topic, but have there been any disclosures regarding a school's RevShare Cap management? ($20.5m this year, with 4% increase over the next 2 years)
Am a bit skeptical with a max roster of 105 that school's are able to stay under the cap with the NIL numbers reported. Suspect there is a lot of b.s. from the agents and also some mixing of 3rd party NIL with some of the claimed deals. Also wouldn't be surprised if teams are just blowing past the cap.
I remember seeing reports when new coaches were hired that schools were promising $30m/yr+ in RevShare, which I'm also confused by.
Thanks, will hang up and listen, but I assume the answer is cheating and b.s.

It’s all window dressing. The NCAA is an empty vessel. The major programs don’t want any regulation. The College Sports Commission needs all schools to agree and execute what's called the University Participation Agreement in order to enforce the cap, Deloitte clearinghouse for NIL deal review, etc.
Many schools have not and apparently will not sign it in its current form, leaving the rules and enforcement of the rules up in the air at the present time. https://frontofficesports.com/colle...-in-the-air-as-participant-agreement-delayed/
