Would Mario take him back? Has anyone ever transferred back to a school he transferred from?

Not advocating for him, to be clear.

King Mack, Penn St -> Bama for a year -> starter at Penn St now

Amorion Walker also transferred from Michigan to Ole Miss, back to Michigan. Now at MTSU. He also switched between WR & DB. Ultimate "cant sit still" player.

Is it me not noticing before or more FCS top guys entering portal this year?

The FCS has become what JUCO is to major college football. It's another feeder system.
It reminds me of soccer where players start their careers at a lower division team to get minutes and experience.

Louis Moore the Indiana safety, went to ole Miss last year then back to Indiana this year.
Hunter Johnson went Clemson-NW-clemson. Kadyn proctor went to Iowa for a couple days between stints at bama. It happens.

This is true. FCS can have some very good teams with the addition of a good QB, WR and RB. Look at Notth Texas. Coach was also very good. But, it’s not sustainable year to year bc the bigger schools poach their best players and coaches and they are back at square one. Giving them an at large bid also isn’t viable. Bc even with the added talent they can’t compete with the bigger schools, especially at the OL/DL levels. FCS would be better served to have their own NC, much like the NIT in CBB.
