This. Even the best defensive tackles rarely start as freshmen. If your team is starting a freshman at DT it’s probably because you suck and don’t have anyone else. Maraad Watson was a freshman all American but it’s mostly because very few freshmen tackles play a ton. There’s nothing spectacular about 30 tackles 2TFL and 1 sack.

DT are hard to find especially 340 pound DT with 34 tackles at that. Just because 2 others didnt work out doesnt mean this guy wont. I'd take him over the Boise state DT all day everyday
