Look to the Transfer Portal: Discussion thread

I think we were a little spoiled with Matt Lee. Carpenter is an okay replacement that is just not at Lee's level. Unfortunately, I believe that's who we're going to ride with due to other pressing needs on the team. Hopefully, he'll continue to improve over the off season as he adjust to the level of play. He did get better near the end of Spring.
Lee was legitimately one of the 10 best centers in the country, it's unrealistic to expect that from the portal every year.

We have our center sir. Mr. Carpenter

Hasn’t been the same since his ACL tear, was really bad last season and was up there in terms of most pressures allowed via centers.
If you look at it from a positive POV you could say that a player coming off such an injury may have needed another year to feel like himself again.

There’s going to be a lot of regrets from the transfer portal on both sides. Some teams will pick up players based upon their 247 HS rankings vs. actual production, while there’s going to be a **** ton of players who enter the portal & will be on the next YouTube Episode of “whatever happened to…”

Guys w/ multiple transfers are red flags.
