TL;DR:
Teams that stay healthier overall – and especially at OL, DB, DL and QB/WR in November – are the ones that most consistently end up on the right side of .500 and in the real Playoff conversation.

1. Prioritize depth where the data says the downside is biggest:
  • Offensive LineTarget 8–10 playable linemen, not just five starters.Bump versatility (OT/OG flex, center/guard flex) as a real board tiebreaker.
  • Defensive BacksCarry 6–8 DBs you trust in real snaps, not “4 plus projects.”Value inside/outside versatility and safety/nickel hybrids that can plug multiple holes.
  • Defensive LineBuild a true rotation, not a “three-starters + hope” model.A couple of DL injuries can move you from title-threat efficiency into “average.”
  • QB / WRMake sure there is an actual plan behind QB1:Portal-ready QB2sYounger WRs who’ve played real snaps, not just special teams.

2. Track not just total injuries, but where they are:
  • Install a simple dashboard:OL injuries (count + trend)DB injuriesDL injuriesQB/WR statusNovember-specific flags
When a critical room hits a “stress band” (e.g., OL at 3+ injuries, DB at 4+):
  • Adjust practice:Reduce live contact for that groupEmphasize cross-training and protection schemes
  • Adjust rotation:Get OL #6–8, DB #5–7, WR #4–6 real snaps before you need them to start in November.
  • Adjust expectations:Bake the increased fragility into game-planning, 4th-down decisions, and risk tolerance.A team with a compromised OL and DB room is less likely to survive long-drive or shootout scripts.

Suing to
A) Try to get the "damages" clauses in their NIL contracts to hold up
B) They waited this long to send a clear message to all their guys taht if you leave we will enforce those clauses with you. No coincidence they sue a month before Portal opens. This lawsuit isn't going to be settled within a month...
