Trading away draft picks for players that dont need it. Same every year. Until they start stock piling draft picks and selecting a team of good players, expect the same results. If they were smart they would never pick in the forst or second round and stock pile later picks for the next season.

You consider not picking in the first or second smart? Every player after the first round is a roll of the dice. The closest you get to sure things happen in the first 15 picks and you want them to trade that away for some 5th rounders. Yes,I'm aware good players have come from late rounds but most are future scout team players.

Im still scratching my head over them dealing three picks for a player (Caroo) that didnt fill a position of need and has character concerns. I know I aint the only one.
 
Obviously not an insider to Dolphins organization...BUT...

As a clear outsider, it appears they still do not have a coherent strategic plan to build the unit for consistent success and competitiveness.

Never ceases to amaze me how a collection of "experts" can get subpar or wrong results time after time.
 
they clearly have ZERO depth issues -- so their draft makes perfect sense

also -- super happy how they traded away a VERY GOOD 4th round pick to move up 4 picks for a player that quite possibly would have been there in the 4th round but without a doubt, would have been there at their pick anyways.... and if for some reason he wasnt... there was literally 4-6 players just as good at the same position and 5 players that would have filled other holes

The Dolphins are really really bad at drafting - this cannot be a shock to anyone at this point. all of that being said, this hasnt been that bad of a draft for them

If he doesn't have character issues he never would've been there...they had no problem trading the picks because they'll be getting comp picks in those rounds....I don't think they traded up for Xavien Howard, I think it was for Jack and they settled.

Ummm...this is the strongest draft for defensive players in years, teams were getting top 20 DT talent at the 72nd pick

Yes. I do. You know something? The Patriots agree. Often successful NFL teams gain extra picks in future seasons for trading away 1st and sometimes 2nd round picks. That way when you have multiple positions of need (Dolphins) you can fill them in the next season. Instead the Fins waste picks and trade up for players like Dion Jordan. Flash forward to 2017 the Fins are already down a couple of picks for trading up. There is a ton of talent every year and the Fins could bennefit from it. If they were smart.

It sure used to amaze me, now when the Phins do anything remotely intelligent it amazes me. Clearly I'm rarely amazed.
 
This might be the worst front office in any major sport....Pathetic.

So these guys have ZERO CB depth and LB Depth and they take a 5'5 WR/KR over Maurice Canady, Eric Striker, Scooby Wright, Harlan Miller, Josh Forrest, Tyler Matakevich, Anthony Brown, Kevon Seymour, and Travis Feeny but they choose a guy who is literally just a KR in the NFL. He isn't Darren Sproles or Dri Archer who have a multi faceted game who can be considered an OW than a RB or WR. This kid wasn't going to be drafted.

Don't be sorry, you're probably never going to have to worry about your kicker missing a field goal ever again. I know it's still a kicker but look up how FG's he missed
