Miami did what Miami does.

On Monday, the Miami Hurricanes dropped their new '2001 tribute' uniforms. The uniforms resemble the 2001 uniform that the Hurricanes wore when they won the national championship and became arguably the best college football team in history.

Miami's No. 5 Armondo Blount, No. 1 Mohamed Toure, and No. 78 Matthew McCoy were on the cover of the photoshoot. What do we think, Hurricanes nation? We'll see the new 2001 uniforms in action for the first time in 25 years.

Those look really good. Too bad it’s a waste since Nike will just bring it back.

 

Just wish all the names would’ve been available in both colors, but I get it. I’m not an orange jersey guy and the two I’d be most likely to get are orange.

Also, I was hoping for green too, but I knew there would AT LEAST be orange and white. Which is twice as many throwback colors as we normally get.

Just went white #1, hopefully Nike does some version that’s customizable in the future.

OK, so to be honest Adidas did as well of a job to try to reinvent our 2001 look as they could. The shade is a bit off, & the color is not one of one, but overall I think they did a good job. There’s minor issues across the collar area, along w the original jerseys have screen print numbers w/ embroidered numbers which, again, Adidas “premium” material bleeds through the #’s, but I’ll give this a 8.3/10 in execution.

Even tho it got sabotaged, I need a whole capsule rollout for this type of stuff, Break out and repurpose all the behind scenes media, never seen before stuff, practice film, sitdown with players, posters, photos, make a whole celebration weekend, just do dope stuff..

They did a great job, atleast for these for the fans.. They really should of released prior to nike announcement.. Either way they look great

If we being honest the addidas one is way better. The nike one looks dingy..It was great for that time tho and my favorite design for us but the new one is just way cleaner, i hope nike does a version too next year . These should be worn every year
