Look at Blake James man

I could have sworn he had to be forced to fire Al mid-season. Is this wrong?

Pretty strong rumor that James would have fired Golden after last season and Shalala and Miller vetoed it.

That's promising.

I'm still not sure what the power structure is at this university as it pertains to athletics, but they did a great job pouncing on Richt and getting it done.

I don't know what to make of Blake James, Romberg made it sound like the money people needed it explained to them what type of financial commitment it takes to be good in college football. James could bluster all he wants about how bad Golden sucks but every AD needs the money people to back a move. It could be as simple as he didn't have the monetary backing to fire him. Clemson struck the match to get the process jumpstarted and the boosters had seen and heard enough outrage to get motivated.

Flake didn't do his job at the end of the 2014 season. I haven't heard an apology to the fans, yet.

Pretty strong rumor that James would have fired Golden after last season and Shalala and Miller vetoed it. No AD wants to fire a coach mid season. Good thing he did, because at 8-4, Golden would still be here unless he left for Rutgers.
There is ZERO chance if Folden was still here that we would be 8-4, more likely 6-6.

You guys really underestimated a guy who managed to work his way from ticket sales to an athletic director to a major sports university. I can't blame you for thinking it was because UM is cheap but this guy obviously has swag and is doing a fine job at improving everything UM Football and Basketball related from staff to facilities.

Richt was a dope hire, a hire that James deserves props on, but I'm not bout to forget how feeble minded that dude seemed all the way up until now.

Hopefully he keeps heading in the right direction but I'm not gunna crown him just yet

Golden wouldn't have went 8-4 though

until we know the details of how the process went and who made the calls, i would not start lining up behind blake james just yet. hopefully this will leak out and we'll know. until then, i reserve judgment.

Golden would have lost the games to Duke and Pitt, and heck, maybe even Virginia, so we'd be 6-6 or 5-7.

James is still a ****** for going to bat for gluten longer then he should have. FACK him!

No Fack you!

Let's see...

Never forced gluten to make any staff changes,
Boldly said "I'm leaving all football decisions to gluten,
Endorsed him having a 5th year, even after the **** storm that was the 2014 season,
Criticized banners...

So yes, FACK him. And FACK you too Mrs. James!

Looks like Blake James is starting to understand Miami...

I don't think he misunderstood "it". If and when your boss gives you directives on how they want something accomplished, then you do it. If you don't then pack yo shlt.IF she said keep Golden or you're fired, he had no choice. It's not like he had the option of going to another school of UM's stature and get another job. He had no experience.
