Of all the programs nationally it makes no sense to me that Texas isn’t always very good.

USC also fits that mold for me given the lack of competition in California for recruits.

There has never been anything on film that showed Arch was Him. Me thinks the boosters wildly overpaying for foisted him on Sark.
I tried to tell everyone when all the hoopla started his senior year that the kid was waaaaaay overrated..

Saying there is a lack of competition in California recruits is like saying there’s no competition in Florida for recruits tons of schools recruit here

Disagree but that’s fine. There are 15 amazing football schools in the south alone. Once you get through Oregon, the drop off is massive lol

Texas is a toxic job. All the resources in the sport, but with all of the problems associated with jock-sniffing, controlling money-men and good old boys.

Agreed, the big schools go everywhere. But for kids that want to stay on the West Coast, its slim pickings after USC/Oregon. Those two should be loading up on home grown talent.

howeverrrrrr...

"I heard a couple weeks ago from a source connected to the NFL - not connected to Sarkisian - that Sarkisian's representatives were letting it be known Texas' fifth-year head coach would be interested in the Miami Dolphins' job if it came open.

That job is not open.

The social media post Saturday by The Athletic's Diana Russini that Sarkisian's representatives were letting it be known that Sarkisian would be interested in the Tennessee Titans' job turns a murmur into an earthquake in Austin, because that job is open.

I'm hearing Sarkisian's agent, Jimmy Sexton, is denying the report behind the scenes, and Sarkisian deserves the chance to address this - just as any of us would want the chance to respond to a report with such massive implications for our career.

I don't believe for one second this was leaked by Sarkisian's reps to get a raise.

You don't do this now, at mid-season, let alone hours before the kickoff of your fourth straight game away from home, when your players are already fighting to stay connected in a hostile environment.

Texas' season goals are on life support right now."
