i'm so confused

do we like jimbo for openly saying F you to FSU and leaving them for a mid tier SEC program to be inevitably replaced by someone worse?.. not to mention handling it poorly and costing them recruits
 
I don't understand why people think it's impossible to win a championship at Texas am ? It's possible with the right players and coaches.

aggies fans are way different than the rest of the sec. they're not mean at all, quite the opposite. they're just a weird football cult with an eternal inferiority complex to texas.
 
A&M draws alot of water with the oil tycoons, but they lose versus the competition north of the mason dixie non cult mentality.

Brilliant move by the Aggies. In order to beat Saban they fired a guy with a better 2017 record and hired the guy who opened the season getting blown out by Saban.
 
This is how pretty much 90% of SEC teams think. This should be no surprise. There’s a reason that 10 SEC schools have had their HC fired since the last time that Bama finished outside the top 4.

Miami was stuck with Donna and complained every minute, but find it unbelievable that the AM admin wants to win a title. That's exactly what you want in an admin. The stupidity of posters on here never ends.

AM has all the resources in the world to do it. They just lack the Coach.

If you go back to Johnnys Heisman year they were the best team by seasons end. It isn't that far fetched.
 
People use to say thing about Clemson...look what they have done the last few years.
 
They can win there. People say fan bases are delusional, if they can get top 10 classes, they can win titles. Players win titles with the right coaching....period. Fancy game rooms don't make players better. It only gets them on campus when u live in a dump. Even Tennessee can win. If Butch Jones can get talent there, better coaching can as well. Period. End

Some people around here think football is only played in South Florida.

Considering this is a University of Miami message board, I fully understand why they feel that way. But they're wrong. A&M could very well win a national title simply by recruiting Houston and Dallas heavily, and plucking a few recruits out of New Orleans. All the ingredients are there.

They can win big there but not without getting rid of the Big 12 cupcake mentality. In the 6 seasons Texas A&M has been in the SEC only in 2015 did they finish within 1 yard of the conference leader in defensive passing yards per attempt. Most seasons they were in the conference middle or lower tier in that category.

Jimbo Fisher will turn that around. In the final seasons of the Bowden/Andrews era the Florida State defense was laughable. The Seminoles allowed 8.7 YPA during Bowden's final season of 2009. That's not a misprint. In Fisher's first season the number dropped to 6.6, then 6.2, then 5.0, then 5.1 during the national championship season of 2013.

Canes fans were mocking Florida State during Fisher's early seasons while being laughably ignorant of the incredible sustained improvement in pass defense, and therefore legitimacy. I was posting the warnings on Canesport every season. I'm sure the posters here who were on other Canes boards during those years were happily clueless and merely looking at a handful of losses by Florida State every season as all the evidence they needed that nothing had changed from the Bowden years.

Even this season Florida State allows only 5.9 YPA, which is tied for 6th in the country. Very underrated team.
