ESPN's Chris Low notes Tennessee could rely on freshmen Tyler Byrd and Brandon Johnson at WR this season.
Low points out head coach Butch Jones said the team needs receivers who can win one on one matchups, so Byrd and Johnson might be a few of the best options on the roster. Marquez North bolted to the NFL after a disappointing college campaign, so juniors Josh Malone and Josh Smith might be the veteran players among pass catchers this year. In terms of freshmen, Byrd stands 5'11/160 pounds and was also recruited as a cornerback, while Johnson is 6'2/180 pounds.
Thought he was going to DBU LOL!
