What might have been missed last week with the DJ Matthews visit, is that he visited with his Trinity Christian teammate DT/OL Logan Gunderson.
Gunderson hasn't received an offer yet, but his girlfriend is a freshman Volleyball player at Miami, so we pretty much have him in the bag if we miss out on some of the other kids ahead of him that we're recruiting.

Not a very highly recruited kid & is more than likely seen as last resort project player, doubt he's a take right now, but just thought it would be interesting to share.

This kid is a 2gap player all day and he should focus on teams with that style of play that employ 3 man fronts. He should send his tape to Colorado, Arizona, wv, Wisconsin, etc. He doesn't fit Miami's 1 gap and go 4-3 scheme at all, unfortunately for him because even the 1 or 0 Tech in UM's defense needs to be able to bring backside pursuit.

If you want to see the redshirt developmental type of 1 or 0 technique players Miami will be recruiting in the future under coach Kool watch 2017 DT\NT Damion Daniels from Dallas, TX.

Go Canes

If Logan were brought in to Miami it would more than likely be as a walk-on & he wouldn't be playing DT.
He would be a project OL for Searels, and again it would be a last resort situation if everybody else we're recruiting ahead of him fell through.
