Dawson is either a TE killer or buddy another greentree AA..

I’m leaning towards both being true.

It’s the conundrum that is Dawson. Lofton is a gadget player at TE/H-Back. He isn’t an Arroyo that’s gonna go down the seam. I’ve seen enough from him that his targets need to be in the flats, slow release type stuff that he can get YAC. It’s no different than running Lyle into the back of the OL. The same square peg round hole mentality from Dawson and Mario. Same reason we don’t run the ball outside. Same reason we run the ball on 1st and 2nd down and then throw on 3rd. Same reason we run in the A gap on 1st down into 6 with the safeties crashing down. 2 games in a row now the opposing defense has taken it away and Dawson and Mario haven’t adjusted.

A lot of people here were balls deep in him during spring and fall…..wonder what happened. Just because a guy catches a 25 yard pass in spring ball doesn’t mean he’s the next Jeremy Shockey.
