locksley at maryland fired ...

In the later years locksley knew who were the guys he couldn’t afford to lose. Zion elee and Malik Washington prob bought him an extra year or two alone

So Locksley first season was 2019; here’s what his class ranked in b1g

2019: eleventh outta fourteen in a transition year

3-9 regular season in 2019

2020: sixth outta fourteen in a bump class

2-3 regular season during COVID

2021: fourth outta fourteen; his first five star was chop Robinson……who played for Maryland for one year before transferring to Penn state & going 3 & out lol. Is on the dolphins now

7-6 in 2021

2022: seventh outta fourteen; aka mid.

8-5 in 2022

2023: sixth outta fourteen

8-5 in 2023

2024: thirteenth outta eighteen

4-8 in 2024

2025: ninth outta eighteen

4-8 in 2025

2026: eleventh outta eighteen

Lowly ranked classes but his team always appeared relatively big and athletic to me, and he had players transferring to other programs like the kid to StatePenn that you cited.

It wouldn't surprise me if they surprise people next year, if they can manage to keep their QB and other players.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the interim hc gets to keep the job if he does well down the stretch here….could also be a mass exodus otw so idk

I’m just glad someone got the carousel started; it was getting boring outchea lmao

They promoted that coach to interim primarily because he was Malik's HS coach.

Aaah that makes sense. Agreed on wouldn’t be surprised if they end up like 8-5 next year or whatever. It’s also a preferable actual university, location wise, for players compared to others. Transfers will always be interested

Remember he hired this guy:
