You must have him confused with someone else.
He would definitely recruit well at UM, but I've never seen evidence of him being an elite playcaller.

I never said he was elite. His 2018 season at Alabama was elite but outside of that he’s just been a good play caller. He’s a Shannon Dawson level of OC but he can actually recruit.

I would take Locks as an analyst for a year or whatever.

Not sure I’d necessarily want him as an OC but he’s the type of guy that you can “plug and playcall” temporarily if an OC bails for a HC job before the playoffs, be that Dawson or his future replacement.
