LOCKER ROOM CULTURE

Hopefully this win and the current iteration of our coaching staff start to turn the culture around. Culture and discipline are not a light switch that can be turned on instantly, they take years to cultivate.

THIS. Whenever UM gets on the moving picture box and wins, these weird dudes ask me if the U is back. They haven't even won the ACC yet.

Oh, puke. I just had a flashback to Al Golden's press conferences after getting waxed by Roast Beef Tech. I was too stupid to realize that having the last name Golden would result in a shower.
Remember when Sam ehlingher proclaimed Texas was “back”. That went well

Jarren and Jeff Thomas had to deal
Character is revealed when things go bad, it is for every team, and we'll see how it plays out for this one when it happens. But winning is a wonderful thing and gets people to buy in.

But always the excuses for those two. Manny knows he made a mistake pursuing JT to get him back, look at how many games he missed for team rules (after quitting on them - he was a me first character).

I think Manny acknowledged that when he said last spring, "A team is a collection of people and the behavioral choices they make.”

I can live with Pope's miscues that didn't cost us a game - like someone said above; no problem now, but it could be in a big game. With Thomas it was - he cost us the Florida game with a muff and a dropped TD. That changed the trajectory of last season.

I've been saying since the ACC Title game; Big Time Players show up for Big Time Games - JT didn't work that equation very well.

Wasn't Dugans beefing with the WR group while he was here too?

That's strange. He's literally one of the nicest, most personable coaches I've ever met.
At both schools the QB play was trash. It can’t be easy keeping the receivers cool through a season of not getting quality looks lol.

Keep smiling brother. When ish gets tough, you can always pop in the tape of this 52-10 molly-*** and have peace.
I appreciate it. It was awesome seeing FSU adjust, come to the line, only to be sacked. Just when they sort of figure it out, the Noles get sacked again.

FSU is evil. Whenever they score, God cries.

I'm thankful. (Long time lurk, first time quirk.)

Just dropping a line to let you know that you guys are the best. Been struggling with severe demons, and laughing my **** off has done me good.

Just be sure not to have any personal conversations with a guy named "nystateofmind".

I will. Thanks for the love, guys. Been battling suicide beasts for two years.

I appreciate you all.

It ain’t about excuses. It’s about knowing your guys and how to manage them. You want to see excuses? Peruse the countless posts. of people caping first garbage coaches.

A strong coaching staff would have put up video game numbers with JT. Lots of good teams have gotten production out of guys who were WAYYYY more a distraction than he was. The biggest gripe on JT was he was quiet and lazy. Good coaches can deal with that. Burned out and /or incompetent coaches cannot.

Culture begins and ends with coaching. Everybody you recruit is not going to be a self driven, hyper mature man child. If the coaching is good enough, you still win games. Character matters, but leadership determines which direction that character heads in for 80% of the population.

The internet: CULTURE MATTERS!!!

Also, the Internet: WHY THE F ISN'T MANNY RECRUITING T2 HARDER??? (even though Alabama, LSU, UGA, Florida, and FSU don't want him either)
