The Miami Hurricanes have officially signed South Florida native Jordan Campbell.



Now listed at 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, there was plenty of discourse regarding whether Campbell would stick as a linebacker or transition into a hybrid. But one things clear no matter what --- he's an absolute player who finds his way to the ball with impact.

Given our LB would be awesome if this kid can rekindle his off ball instincts and make his impact there.

6'2 205-210.

He has good instincts and i was happy when he wanted to meet with Heatherman to see how he would be used and locked in.

Gonna be a nice weapon to unleash if he is freed up he can run sh*t down like right now.

Edwards, him, and The louisville Mike backer is a solid class to work with.

Campbell is slept on because he has been committed so long and mnw just used him at edge because they had 3 backers.

So you think he's a LB rather than a pass rusher?

Yes . I never said he was that guy but they have similar size and scouting reports. Both undersized , athletic edge guys in HS. I do think Campbell has potential to play inside lb and edge like @gogeta said. It’s funny he mentioned Toure because that’s who I was thinking when I watched Campbell’s film. Campbell seems to be twitcher and more explosive than Toure and that’s where Bonitto comes in. Bonitto was a very polarizing recruit on cis when he came out . Some said he’s another very undersized edge guy that’s in a lb body . Others thought his length , frame and athletic ability was too good to pass on. Just another example of this is an inexact science.
