Local Miami Central (Miami, Fla.) 2028 linebacker Steven Moore notified CanesInSight, stating that he will be in attendance for the Miami Hurricanes game against the Florida State Seminoles.
Moore is listed at 5-foot-11, and 205-pounds. This past season as a sophomore, he recorded a total of 20 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, and two sacks. He currently holds a total of 23 offers from multiple power-five programs. The visitors list for the rivalry game is absolutely loaded with strong 2028 talent. The Hurricanes will have over a dozen blue-chip players in attendance and will host multiple local prospects. He has visited Miami multiple times during his recruiting.
Miami was his first ever Power Five offer and has been recruiting him since 2023. His father, Paul Moore played at Florida State from 1987 to 1991. According to the 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings, Moore is currently viewed as a three-star product. The site ranks him as the nation's No. 647 overall prospect, No. 40 among his position group, and No. 83 player out of the Sunshine State.
He stated that he believes that he can fit into the Hurricanes defensive scheme because of his skillset: "I know I would fit good," he added. "I can play in any defensive of skills and take pride in being able to play every point and knowing everyone's assignments."
Alongside the Hurricanes, he has only checked out the Nebraska Cornhuskers. As his recruitment heats up and his junior season approaches, he will set up more official visits to look at and explore his options.
"This season I'm carrying on the legacy of wearing No. 4 at Miami Central, a number previously worn by both Rueben Bain and Ezekiel Marcelin—two players who were captains of the defense. At Miami Central, my game is violent and fast. I can play downhill, I can cover, and I'm always around the football. I dealt with injuries and spent time playing behind two four-star players, but now it's my time."
