One of the top players out of Florida is planning a visit to Miami in the next coming weeks.
Four-star local edge rusher Aden Johnson out of Miami Carol City High School spoke with CanesInSight about his recruitment and where things stand with the Miami Hurricanes.
Johnson, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound edge rusher says the Miami Hurricanes and the Syracuse Orange are two teams going after him the hardest in the recruitment.
"I will be taking a visit to Miami real soon. I don't know when yet." said Johnson.
Johnson currently ranks as a four-star prospect. According to the On3 Recruiting Rankings, he is ranked as the No. 197 nationally, No. 20 edge rusher, and No. 26 out of the Sunshine State.
Johnson talked about how he does not have a relationship yet with Miami Hurricanes Head Coach Mario Cristobal, though he does talk to defensive ends coach Jason Taylor. "I personally don't have that type of connection with Coach Cristobal, but [I'm] looking forward to it," Johnson said. "Coach Taylor [is] cool. We got a little relationship going."
During his freshman season with South Broward, he finished with 93 tackles and 29.0 tackles for loss. On the offensive end, he tallied a total of 17 receptions for 395 yards. He recently camped out at Coral Gables for the Hurricanes Legends Camp.
Miami was his first ever division one school to offer him.
