Never mind dude, you clearly don’t get it
No I get what your saying..it was a unconventional call..but it worked..so how was it a bad decision?? Nick Saban once kicked a onside kick to start a half in the Natty..was unconventional but it worked so u can’t say it was a bad decision

Manny is an analytics guy. He has a guy in the booth telling him what the percentages say to do. It’s a new breed of football. Wether it’s the right call or not, it’s not something he is pulling out of his butt. He is basing it on science.

Whether a decision works out or not is not the determining factor on if it was a good decision. For example, let's say it's 4th and 10 from your own 5 yard line in the first quarter and the coach goes for it and gets it.
Does that mean it was a smart decision?
Of course not.

Manny going for two in that scenario today was certainly a head scratcher and statistically speaking, the wrong decision.

I would be very curious to hear the math behind it because it seems pretty clear cut to me. Statistically you will have better odds of making two extra points than one out of two 2 point conversions.

Agreed. But you have the Bubba factor as well.
