There is absolutely nothing to learn from this game except to never give that crap effort again. Flush and watch the selection show on Sunday.

Officials and the NCAA will be blamed if we drop in the seeding, not the blow out performance in this meaningless tournament.

They showed Lunardi had us at 8 tonight. Our net and kenpom had us at 30. We certainly aren't moving up. I know we needed Nova and Georgia to lose who Lunardi had at 7. Both lost to teams we beat. We shall see. My guess is 8.

I honestly felt after yesterday that the team needs a break. That was a physical game against Louisville and we have very little depth. Maybe this is for the best. I’ve never seen this poor of an effort from us this year.

This loss feels bad because the 3 seniors all played bad at the same time in March.
The only good thing about that is that it occurred in the ACC tournament and not the NCAA tournament.
It's a common theme in March that when the leaders of your team play bad at the same time, your season immediately comes to an end.
Atleast we know Miami will be playing in the NCAA tournament and have a chance to get this taste out of our mouths.

We've folded at multiple times during the season, but also rallied late or held off runs. We lack attention span at times, lose effort. Not sure why. It is postseason basketball time.

I’ve been very critical of the late game issues, the 3 pt shooting and fhr FT shooting. And said multiple times we won’t win in March bc of it. But I’ve also said you couldn’t ever question this teams effort until the Ville game. Now it’s 3 games in a row. I don’t think it’s a collapse. It just doesn’t look the same. It’s two different things IMO.

Yeup. UVA and Duke are insane defensively holding their opponents to below 40% from the field.

We makeup for the difference in fg% by the aforementioned not fouling as much, creating turnovers with steals (3rd in the ACC), and rebounding the basketball on both ends: allow the second least defensive and offensive rebounds in the ACC.

It was a frustrating night, mostly because the one thing that Miami has consistently done all year(SHOW EFFORT) didn't happen. This team doesn't quit, but it appeared they did tonight. You can control effort, you can control fight, even when things aren't going well, you can still continue to scrap. Once things went left, it became "Every man for themselves", and that's unacceptable. I expected better from Donaldson and Reneau tonight, they straight up mailed it in.

Udeh gave everything he could, I will say him and Washington were the two guys that truly cared.
