Live Stream for Spring Game

During most of spring LCE has been adamant that he didn’t feel anything would change in the fall related to certain players starting/playing. So I was wondering if that has changed in his mind.
At WR yes, I don’t think Pope & Wiggily will dominate snaps at WR this season, it’s obvious Key Smith & Restrepo have emerged & once the TF’s get here I think Brinson will give himself a good shot too. Hopefully Redding will be healthy & in the mix as well.

On Defense at LB idk what the mix will be, I think Keontra Smith is the clear best WLB & I’m sure Flagg has Mike LB locked down, but a lot will depend on Brooks health & if the staff will be actively going after a Portal LB for Fall camp.

At Safety, everything depends on how secure Hall’s job is, Tae Williams & Kam Kinchens could easily take his reps if it’s an open comp in Fall, but that’s really just my opinion, maybe the staff feels better about Hall but he just doesn’t seem to be progressing to me.

At Corner, I don’t need repeat my stance on Ivey, he didn’t look good at all IMO but I’m more than likely in the minority on that given the concerted effort to force feed the idea that he’s going to suddenly turn Super Saiyan this season, but from what I saw today, still looks slow & out of place, especially on the Deep ball Wiggily aced him on. To me, the staff loves Ivey so he’s going to play no matter what, but I’m looking forward to how hard people will spin to try convince themselves he’s a good player lol.

McCloud didn’t look that good to me either, IMO Jahfari Harvey & DeAndre Johnson should be the 2 main DE’s, but it’s pretty evident McCloud will play unjustifiable amount of snaps this year, it is what is it is on that front lol.

Overall, it will just come down to performance analysis & accountability, if the staff holds guys accountable for their mistakes & missed assignments then maybe that will raise the competitive nature of the team, that’s all you can ask for.

But I thoroughly enjoyed the Spring game & came away impressed with a number of different players.

Ivey is the David Perry of CBs but this staff is too clueless to see it. I was considering saying the Cager but that would be actually be an insult to Cager. This is coming from someone who’s was thrilled when he hit the portal. Fingers crossed Blades comes back full strength real soon.

Which staff? The one with Rumph or the new one that was completely remade including hiring T-Rob? Who still loves Ivey. So T-Rob who just finished developing another first round corner in Horn from South Carolina is clueless? Or will he be forced by Manny to play Ivey when all the other CBs get healthy? You guys throw out “the staff” like it’s been the same guys for 5 years. But different coaches have continued to play guys you never want to see again.

Thanks @Liberty City El ... I enjoyed the game. we’ll see how the summer goes. I’ll be there in the Fall either way so let’s ******* go!

I wasn’t high on Garcia, and it’s still TBD b/c QBs r still not facing live bullets; however, if what I saw today is going to be him in practice & in game, we have a QB who will lead us. I’ve never like Narbonne players, but this guy appears to be breaking the mold. I was very impressed by him.

It’s hard to make a sound judgement on a spring game which is just a glorified practice, but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing my boys out there. Rambo impressed me w/ his hands, and I said, just like the ACC crew; if we get the 2017 version of Rambo, we’ll have the best 1-2 combo in the ACC. With that being said, if I see Wiggins or Pope in that #3 spot, imma lose it. If ur dropping balls in a scripted game, oy vey to the performance in a real game. Imma need to see X or Key as that #3.

In regards to the interior on both sides...eh. Some good moments, some not so good moments. Again, the game plans were pretty vanilla. I will say McCloud stood out, but not in a good way. If he’s starting at DE, bruuuuuh.

Liked what I saw from Tae, C. Smith, Key Smith, Washington (nice hit on Daz), & Garcia.

I stand by what I said earlier on this site, no excuses this season. 10+ win w/ a trip to the ACCCG is the only thing acceptable this yr w/ this roster.

Good half. Baby B is going to save our asses a couple of games. Garcia, just 🤦 the kid can ball. TVD doing well also. Looks like we’ve got us someone that can allow Jaccurri to RS and work on his craft when he comes in ‘22

If we can develop Jacurri into a 60% passer with his explosiveness and one of Garcia or TVD reach their potential, we are talking about a Clemson level shift in program changing qb play.

we need to be starting 11 3 and 7. with 5 guaranteed minutes with Will and then idc who play after that.

Naw we need Smith’s speed outside. Start him and leave Harley inside.

We are young at tight end and need to manage Will properly. X can get a lot of burn if we run more 10 personnel like we should. Those four guys on the field at once is a pretty dynamic corp.

It was only memorable because Geoff was playing because Vinny's drove a moped like Evil Knievel at Caesar's Palace.
It was memorable because we lost our star QB, the heart and soul of our team, and winning the ECU game was critical. Now maybe if Geoff had played in the Fiesta Bowl instead of Vinny....

Yeah he was very impressive.

He didn’t really have to run because there’s no contact on the QB, but he looked good in the pocket, he has a very quick trigger & slings it. He did get “sacked” (it was just a two-hand touch) by Frierson on a 3rd down Blitz & had maybe one or two errant throws, he sometimes will hold onto the ball looking for the big play which Lashlee got on him pretty hard for, but other than that he was really good.

He’s got a good arm, but more than just raw arm talent, he’s got a sh*t ton of confidence, he will fit the ball into tight windows & make difficult second level throws without hesitation.
Appreciate the evaluation..

Maybe for you, but East Carolina stunk that year. This was not the 1983 Earnest Byner East Carolina that beats us to end the season and does if the two ECU receivers don't run into each other on a broken coverage play. Geoff actually played very well. Big game Vinny brought his 1986 Sugar Bowl performance to the Desert. I jest.
