Matocha will start somewhere in the future, just not here. Good for him that he's a 3rd year rsh freshman. He can get his degree in 2022 and have 2 years of eligibility remaining.
Or he can hang out and enjoy being part of an elite program. Most fans are too young to remember Geoff Torretta. He signed with UM the same year as Vinnie Testaverde. He was never higher than 3rd string but decided to stay all four years.
When coach Errickson was recruiting Gino Torretta, his older brother told him that even if had to do it all over again, he'd still rather have sat bench at UM than started at a lower level program. Gino signed with UM and didn't suck too bad.
