Live Stream for Spring Game

Matocha will start somewhere in the future, just not here. Good for him that he's a 3rd year rsh freshman. He can get his degree in 2022 and have 2 years of eligibility remaining.

Or he can hang out and enjoy being part of an elite program. Most fans are too young to remember Geoff Torretta. He signed with UM the same year as Vinnie Testaverde. He was never higher than 3rd string but decided to stay all four years.

When coach Errickson was recruiting Gino Torretta, his older brother told him that even if had to do it all over again, he'd still rather have sat bench at UM than started at a lower level program. Gino signed with UM and didn't suck too bad.

Harley had drops early last season. Hankerson was a drop problem until his senior year. Kids can turn it around, and Pope has talent.

But he's also limited in terms of fighting with CBs for position and keeping balance after the catch to extend plays. I was his biggest fan coming out of High School. But I just see too many flaws so late in his development. I'm for giving most of his reps away to Restrepo and B Smith, and making him earn his way back onto the field. Or transfer.
I hate pope's body language. It seems like he doesn't even wanna be out there and like he is disengaged.

You're right. But..............

There will be a lot of teams that will make a bigger mistake on passing him up when he becomes a monster.

It's going to be fun to watch all the scouts eat crow.

No guarantee either way. Might be fun a couple years from now, but he’s missing out on a lot of guaranteed cash

I'm on both, they are both substandard talents.

I'm also on the coaching staff for how badly the position has been recruited. It's an absolute atrocity.

They both have plenty of talent, more than enough. It just doesn’t translate into games. When the lights come on they start dropping balls like there’s no tomorrow. They’re also mentally deficient as far as football, I don’t mean stupid, I just mean they’re not mentally tough.

I watch both of them. Pope’s body language is horrific when something goes wrong, he can’t get over it, and it fūcks him up for dozens of plays afterwards.

Neither one of them knows how to fight for a ball either.
