Listen to me

Embarrassing? Recruits love seeing that and how Brevin was posing for the pics. They took away celebrating on the field (Miami rule) so this is a new way to do it.
They are just going over the top with the props and ****. Stick to the original turnover chain from 2017.

JT4 is electric. Y’all have to realize he’s like most NBA players. If you don’t involve him he checks out.

Remember when Enos said he’d get him 10
Touches a games? LOL what a joke that was

Yeah deejay Dallas balled. I’ve talked negatively about his play a lot last year and I was Way off. He’s in for a great season.

Shout to Robert knowles too, he was in there and played well i thought

Knowles finally belongs imo didn’t look out of place tonight... can’t wait to see the D when we get Ivey and Bolden out there... Couch didn’t look bad either.

I believe Thomas also had a hold on Cam's big run along with the muff and TD drop. He is not a superstar by any means.

1) I don't ever want to hear anyone mention "Jeff Thomas" and "Santana Moss" in the same sentence again. Ever.

Man I remember that same bull**** on the boards re: Moss after the 2000 Washington game.

Knuckles is so ***, turnover chain is even gayer when you clealry do not even know how to block. This program is so goofy now. Turnover knuckles but not one OL worth a ****????? gtfoh...corn ball program.

Painful game. I think we were poorer team (especially offense) but Gators came to lose (assisted by our tuff defense.) So if we didn't muff too many things we had a win. Being game 1, human, karma, whatever, a few Canes made somewhat unlikely errors (especially JT) - and handed it back to them... as those mishaps aren't all that likely to reoccur ( I think.) and we should get better with seasoning, I have much hope (though still smarting.)

There was no margin for error in this kind of game. I get that.

But with the OL issues I don't have a lot of hope going forward. I know the schedule looks weak from here on out, but we've all been down that road before.

I wonder if the woes of the OL are more inexperience and seasoning (which implies improvements are likely) or simply under-talented under-sized and under-skilled (in which case we likely are indeed fooked, as I doubt JW or Nikosi can ever do the quick reads and adjustments that will be mandatory for solid outcomes.)

To me JT is good for ONE thing and ONE thing only.Running fly patterns where he can use his best attribute, his speed,to get behind the DB.

Problem is even when he does get behind a DB our QB doesn’t have time to throw anything deep and if he actually got time would JT catch the **** thing when it got to him.

Never understood the big celebration when he decided to grace the program with his presence again.I won’t blame this loss on him alone because there were many people and many positions to throw blame at for this loss. But that muffed punt when your in a game of this type just can’t happen.

It did and was a large part of the reason we lost.

^This.

Other then the muffed punt which is an obvious **** up. What did you expect Jeff to do? Be honest with yourself. There wasn’t enough time to run him deep on routes. We didn’t even try to beat them deep at all because of that same reason.

I get that everyone is hoping for a return to greatness and is looking for something to latch onto, but the way Thomas has been hyped up on this board is ridiculous. He has talent, but he's not the performer he's been made out to be.

Bigtime players make bigtime plays in big games, right?
Should have transferred like he wanted to. Not just because he basically lost this game for us, but he is a screwup off the field who will let the team down at some point by getting suspended. I have zero faith in this kid.

I don’t even know if he likes being here. Kid has demons and I think if he went to a school like Osu or Oklahoma he’d have good QBs and good offensive systems that utilize his skill set correctly. He’s a great player and I’m glad he’s here but I’ve been wondering if he’s even happy being here. He’s had 2 **** seasons of QBs and a brutal offense so yea I get it could be frustrating. Can’t go half *** tho. Work hard and be productive for one more year then go to the NFL.

I think he has great talent but isn’t a great player. He seems to mope when the play isn’t about him. As others posted, he seems to go half speed at times. He’s not a leader.

He’s got all the talent in the world to be one of the best in the country but he’s a me first guy. I have no idea what the future holds for him in the league but he needs to get his **** together. As I’ve stated in the past, I’ve followed East St Louis football closely since 2007 and when I first heard Miami was going after him I didn’t think he’d qualify and if he’d be a good fit here. Just thought he’d transfer after a year or two and he almost did. No chance he comes back next year so we need to utilize him as much as we can on offense.

Agreed. He needs the ball early and often.

I don’t think he’ll succeed in the NFL. Too small, and his attitude will turn off a lot of teams.
