Toure, Bissainthe, Popo, Chase >>>>> Reese, Styles and any other overrated LBers I left out.

K. Scott, Jakobe, Poyser, and Fitzgerald >>>> Caleb Downs and all other over hyped safeties I left out.

Bain, Messidor, Blount, Lightfoot, Moten, J. Scott, Blay >>>>> Curry, Jackson, McDonald and all other over hyped dlineman left out.

McDonald, Downs and J Smith showed up and played great. I will also tip the cap to their QB. he faught his *** off in the face of that pressure and made plays, not enough but he still impressed me. Styles, Reese and Curry were completely and soundly whipped
McDonald was okay, had a few solid plays but was invisible most of the game, I expected more. With downs he ran the alley well and his impact was felt. Arvell Reese was a no show, Sonny styles made a few plays but that’s about it

Brockermeyer has been the weakest link on our oline and was the dude I thought was going to be wrecking plays and effecting the run game.

Nope. The VT dline gave us more fits than these dudes

This is silly. Both Miami and OSU have nasty defenses that are physical and love to hit.

D-Line: Miami>OSU. Been this way all season and also in the game. We have a dominant d-line.

Linebackers: OSU>Miami. Yes, our LB's were better in this game and that's all that counts. During the season, OSU's LB's were great all season. Our LB's were solid for most of the season. Average in some games and really good in others.

Safety/Nickel: Miami>OSU. Both had elite safety play all season, but Downs was their main guy. We had Scott, Thomas, Poyser, and Fitzgerald that all played great. Downs would still be a starter here. He's too good to be off the field.

Corner: OSU>Miami. Let's not kid ourselves. OSU's corners were better than Miami's during the season. No disrespect to our corners, but I'd take OSU's.

Brock fought his *** off it was a great battle. McDonald was the only one on their Dline that actually made any plays. I believe he finished with 7-8 tackles. he played better than OK

I'd take our corners over theirs. O'Connor is an animal and he's our 4th highest rated CB.

For a 1st round pick? wasn’t a game wrecker

For a mid round pick? Oh yeah he was “better than ok”

Major improvement over last year for sure. Our corners are physical and can tackle, but struggle in coverage. Especially against top tier receivers. We don't have a "lock down" corner. I also like our corners, but there is room for improvement. I still think OSU's were better this year. Doesn't mean that our guys stink. OSU has been blessed in that position for years now.

There is an argument to be had for choosing OSU.

But I think our corners are asked to be on an island more because our scheme is built to allow our safeties to fly around and make plays.

Our LBs are better.
Have been all season. It's not always the personnel that you can say was better...sometimes its the competition played against and the play calling.
I'd take our front 7 vs theirs all day any day.
