Lingard and coach’s lack of communication

There are 2 teams in america where what you said happens LESS than everywhere else. Both Bama and Clemson have had more 5* guys transfer in the last three years than we've gotten. Oklahoma's best WR prospect transferred two or three games into the season b/c he wasn't getting enough stats.

The problem is todays players are ******* crybabys and they now have outlets (social media) to express their crocodile tears.

Willis McGahee wanted to transfer but nobody outside the program knew **** b/c he wasn't a pansy and there was no social media.

Lol; u know y they r losing more 5 stars than anyone else in America?? B/c they have more 5 stars than anyone in America!

So yes, they are leaving the program, a couple at a time, b/c they have two other 5 stars ahead of them! THATS NOT THE FCKING CASE HERE! We got blue chip players leaving b/c a player from the back woods w no f’ing D1 player is “coachable” & fits a certain look that the OL coach likes “from his experience” at a G5 school.

All transfers ain’t the same. The guys from Bama, UGA, Clemson...they transferring b/c they know they ain’t never going to see playing time w some many other blue chip players ahead of them. There’s no reason for Lo, if healthy, not to see the field, period!

I don't want for us to lose Lingard because he's frustrated about playing time. No matter the reason, losing elite talent will not help us get to where we want to go. We've generally got to find a way to make sure we do the best we can to work with guys that aren't happy about their playing time. I know that all of us are frustrated with our team this year, and for the past 18 years.

All that being said, i'm not really sure how this one is on our coaches. Lingard hurt his knee substantially enough that he was not medically cleared for his knee until a couple weeks ago. Then, in practice, he sustains a concussion (per Tweed), and ends up in the protocol. Then, in a game where we thought we would have a chance to play some of our backups, we inexplicably end up in a dogfight. We all wanted to see him finally play against Central Michigan, but do people honestly think this was the right time to get him in?

Our offensive line was getting blown up. He hadn't faced game action in a year. Both of our starting RBs have arguably been our best offensive players this season. This largely wasn't a case of them being ineffective because of something they did (Harris did bounce that one run where it looked like he had a lane). To suggest that we would put him in to face this situation is pretty unrealistic. Now, should all of that be communicated to him so that he understands where he stands in the rotation? Yes, that seems like a better way to handle it. But if the complaint is that he is frustrated he hasn't played, i'm just not seeing it.
stop being rational and pausing to think for like two seconds, people don’t take kindly to that around here

Manny needs to play this the right way. Put him in and see what he can do. Very few players on this team have played so well that they deserved minutes no matter what
Except dj n Harris have both played well minus last week which is mostly on the ol

Deejay & Cam are both solid college RBs.

Lingard is elite & a home run threat. He's exactly what the Old (Great) Miami was. Anyone that has seen him play knows that.

We need elite production at the RB position. When is the last time one of our RBs housed a long one? When Duke Johnson was here? We've been missing that.

The coaches would be crazy to redshirt Lingard if he's healthy. They badly need to win now. Not next year but now. This single decision could in large part dictate the success of the Diaz era as HC. Play Lingard now (extensively) and end up with a winning record & salvage recruiting. Don't play Lingard the rest of the season & end up with a losing record & severely damage recruiting. That could really hurt the trajectory of the Diaz era.

When Lingard plays extensively, you will see the difference. You will see what we've been missing at the RB position (home run threat with elite speed). If Lingard is healthy, he needs to be the featured back. Huge mistake not to play him, if he's sufficiently healthy.

On a separate note, Lorenzo should be grateful to the coaches that they haven't rushed him back & have protected his health (and his future). His family should be grateful for that too. However, if he is now healthy then he should be playing extensively.

He's an X Factor that could very well lead to additional wins (which are sorely needed at this point).

yeah series of unfortunate events. I hope he chills out and lets the ship right itself.

I am not saying Cam should be cast aside. But he was ahead of Cam on the depth chart for a reason when he got hurt. That means he was better than Cam was. Cam Harris is a good back. But YES, based on recruiting hype also, you play Lingard and find out what you have. The only time we say recruit rankings don't matter is when we get a verbal from a 3*. In the mean time the 5* heads to Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, and Bama.

So he was ahead of him on a depth chart a year ago vs savannah st before a serious knee injury. Whats that mean in 2019? Nothing.

Lo should play in the 2nd half of every game....get him some touches when the D is a little tired to see if he's ready...

Didn't Dj house one against Florida. As soon as you said that im pretty sure everyone stopped reading your bull ****. Cam has had 2-3 runs called back that were over 50 yards. Why does everyone want to rush back a guy off a serious injury. My guess is theres a bunch of short **** losers from other fans bases on this free site. Let that sink in. Start charging and make cash of real cane fans and not these limp **** scum bags.

I disagree with his family. There is no point in rushing back on a Team that is not going to win a title.

Lo is worth millions and no need to be rushing out there. I would def ease him into the games later in the season

It means he wasn’t better than Cam when they shed the star labels and actually started practicing as freshman. He then blew out a knee. He is now behind. How is this hard to understand.

It’s possible he was overrated?

#2 RB in the country
#9 overall player in the country
Army All-American
Army All American Starting RB
Arny All American Team Captain
Gatorade Player of The Year
Runner Up for Florida Mr. Football

.....and people somehow forget that when he got injured HE WAS THE #2 RB BEHIND HOMER.

DeeJay was having his fumbling issues and we had just lost at Virginia. Lo was running with the 2's and Cam was on scout team.

Lo was #2 last year when he got hurt (Homer #1), DeeJay was #3 & Cam was #4 scout team.

That’s not true. He was behind From the jump. Always trying to cut everything outside, they were trying to teach him to be patient. Facts.

Understand the frustration but no one of significance has left the program.
