Lingard and coach’s lack of communication

That used to be Miami. CFB hasn’t changed; yeah kids are transferring here & there, but what we’re seeing here in total dysfunction. That’s all I can liken it to. Dang near every week, even during bye weeks, something is happening, and it always lead back to miscommunication from staff to players and/or parents.

When you’re winning, respect your position coaches and everyone’s eating it makes it a lot easier to love the game

And since the corches are playing cam more even though our only 5 star is just waiting there twiddling his thumbs, old Go Canes will inflate cams numbers and how awesome he’s doing because his Pontiff decided to play cam instead and the corch is always right in his homer eyes. Our only 5star lmao..really?..cam was a 4 star,..**** so was this guy named saquan Barkley..why y’all so hung up on star ratings..they matter in the overall since when looking at a rosters talent make up..but in a individual situation like this that **** don’t matter bro

Agree 100%. Not saying otherwise. But he's rusty and has virtually no game action for two years. Some people are already making him a bust or a savior.

Coaches watch him every day. Whatever shortcomings they may have, I seriously doubt they're benching a kid that gives them a clear advantage.

As I posted Earlier even when bama was winning tua wanted to transfer to usc because he wasn’t playing. These kids want to play at the end of the day. Easier said then done being told to wait your turn or not getting any time

I also think that it’s not all on coaches. You are a coach trying to get your players ready and recruiting and you’ve got at least 25 players mom, Dad, handlers, cousins, coaches, 7 on 7 leaders blowing up your phone about there kid not playing enough. I don’t think ignoring the calls is the answer which I know is happening or has happened but answer the phone tell them exactly what’s going on and what your kid needs to do to get burn.

Be honest, stern and figure it out

There are 2 teams in america where what you said happens LESS than everywhere else. Both Bama and Clemson have had more 5* guys transfer in the last three years than we've gotten. Oklahoma's best WR prospect transferred two or three games into the season b/c he wasn't getting enough stats.

The problem is todays players are ******* crybabys and they now have outlets (social media) to express their crocodile tears.

Willis McGahee wanted to transfer but nobody outside the program knew **** b/c he wasn't a pansy and there was no social media.

they are getting paid to stay with the program. it's taking advantage of getto selfish. nothing more.

I agree with that but what I don’t agree with is not even giving the kid some snaps to see what he can do. This is not a knock on cam at all as he is a good runningback even though he try’s to bounce things outside to much. But let’s not pretend cam is or will be dalvin cook because he’s not. Lo was supposed to that guy for us and it’s just par for the course as far as decision making by manny and Enos this year that might force the kid to transfer. And that’s unacceptable especially with our record. Let’s be honest, as well as cam has played he hasn’t made any kind of an impact on games like Dallas has. Give Lo a shot gods sakes!

i think you took it too literal. the point was that they found ways to get guys who had no business playing, playing, yet they held out linguard against CMU when we couldve used a spark/just used him in general after manny said he was good to go.
 
Imagine a world where a redshirt freshman coming off knee surgery is thinking about leaving because he hasn’t played yet after 4 games. The problem these days is kids don’t want to earn anything. What you did in HS is behind you. DJ is running well, and Cam has run well besides CMU. All these kids trying to bolt because they aren’t on the field or starting after a year is crazy.

His family member said he got a concussion. UM is at the forefront of concussion research and protocol and they likely thought it was advisable to have him have two more weeks of rest vs risking further issues. You'll get no inside info from me but my understanding is we are 4 games in and Lingard has not been 100% healthy for a single game.

Last year we were all ready for Nkosi to take over but when he was in he struggled.... in this situation Lingard came in as 5* in a year where RB recruits were limited. Reality is lingard appears to be a better sprinter and Cam fits the bill for a 3 down back. I know it might be frustrating as far as expectations for being a 5*, but cam has shown legit 3 down back and ligard has not. Got to trust coaches here but would like to see him get some reps to prove he deserves getting snaps ahead of a solid bigger cam.

once again, your basing this all off recruiting rankings..the kid is coming off a Knee injury!! He’s missed months!..cams broke off huge runs that were called back on ticky tac calls..if those don’t get called are you making that statement? Lastly what healthy running back do you know running with a **** brace on..remember when coop had that ******* brace and was running in quick sand. No where close to 100%. To put on top of him not being up to game speed.

Now I agree with him getting burn, against Bethune-Cookman(he wasn’t dressed) or CMU when the situation presents itself. But I don’t agree with him just getting sporadic touches as though he doesn’t need to build confidence and rhythm. Some act like this NCAA 14 lol..and I’ll end with this, the kid we have coming in, Don Chaney is the best RB prospect we’ve had since Duke. So all this fear of Zo transferring, I’m not worried about that one bit. I don’t have a problem with the kid itching to play tho.
