Linebackers depth chart

We will be in Nickel a ton, but all signs are that Toure, Aguirre, Bissainthe are running with the first team and Alderman, Wiley, Pruit with the 2nd. I expect us to play all 6 of these guys this year and anything can happen. Especially with Pruit and Wiley, who have the most upside. Forgot about Chase. So I guess 7 in the mix.

Chase Smith is getting more first-team reps than I expected, along with the predicted names like Bissainthe and Toure. We have 5-6 guys in the mix.
If he’s healthy I love this. The man is a physical freak. Mertz looked absolutely terrified of him when smith was bearing down on him. Don’t really remember him doing anything last year after week 1 though.

Here is Wesley Bissainthe 2024 production vs Kamal Bonner’s, both playing in the ACC.

Wesley Bissainthe
  • Games: 13
  • Solo tackles: 36
  • Assisted tackles: 23
  • Total tackles: 59
  • Tackles for loss: 5
  • Sacks: 2.0
  • Interceptions: 1
Kamal Bonner
  • Games: 13
  • Solo tackles: 23
  • Assisted tackles: 33
  • Total tackles: 56
  • Tackles for loss: 7.0
  • Sacks: 1.0
  • Interceptions: 0
I don’t know if it exists, but is there a way to grade them in coverage?

We need that infusion of talent now
From what I could find. Based off his PFF coverage numbers Wes is a top 10 coverage linebackers in the nation.

Wesley Bissainthe – PFF coverage grade of 81.9
Kamal Bonner – PFF coverage grade was 60.2

Sounds like the WR room

A lot of competing and guys in the mix but not as concrete of starters or as solidified as OL, RB, CB and maybe DL rooms

Y’all are tripping. 90-95% of the country would kill to have the talent in this LB room.

We are using last year to judge these players in a system where the entire defense looked lost half the time. Of course they are going to look like dog****.

Would you rather have the Quarterman, Pinckney, McLeod LB room? That LB room was less talented but the beneficiary of a good scheme.
