Lindy’s: DE transfer Hill is the top draft prospect in the ACC

I recall talk on a VT board about how he was a liability against the run and how one of their OL’s was gonna pancake him. I’ll take a Burns-type player who can get after the QB and has a chip on his shoulder.

Please do not take my response to your post as a direct indictment towards you, but your statement is typical "par for the course", as it relates to our fanbase. We have a DE (Garvin) that has proven what he can do in our system, especially considering that he has been in the system for over two years, but yet, most of the this board, automatically assumes that Hill is going to be better, even though he has not played 1 down in our system. The reason?...He did it at V-Tech, not Miami! For some reason, we tend to downgrade our talent, only to hype up the talent of other teams, especially our rivals!

Don't get me wrong, I think Hill is going to be a beast. In fact, I would not be shocked if he was to lead us in sacks this year. He is that dude!!! I just honestly do not understand the logic of hyping up an "unknown", in our system, versus a proven resource in our system.

Our D-Line is going to eat regardless; Diaz system has proven that, regardless of whom we've had lining up.
 
Every time I see Lindy’s on here I keep thinking of that restaurant in Brooklyn many years ago.

Garvin is probably better overall but he can learn a thing or 2 from hill in terms of showing consistent bend off the edge and get off

Because I dont look at production or system when I am comparing talent. I only look at talent. Speed, length, size, strength, power, explosiveness, hand placement, bend, punch, pass rushing moves, edge setting, anchoring are all things u can look at that show up despite the system.

I am with you. In Tally, which is very near my hometown, Lindy's chicken is a local chain. Everytime I see the football publication, I think of that place, and I've never eaten there. Lol

If you could only have 1 of the 2, which one would you take? (Obviously, we are fortunate to have both....just curious)

Glad we are not in the position where we have to take one or the other lol. But whew I’m not sure, I like Certain qualities of both players tbqh. Should be a nasty tandem when the two are on the field

Same here. I know of Lindy’s in NY but had never been. I thought that the Lindy’s, Athlon’s and Franklin’s had all disappeared.

I think I’m taking the guy that has previously had success in our system every time unless we’re talking about a talent like Clowney or someone going towards that tier where you just can’t say no. So if I’m a VT fan, I take Hill for their system and as a Cane, I’m taking Garvin for our system.
 
Hill is good. He's an excellent addition. He'll be drafted. Lindy's is putting out BS. He's not the top draft prospect in the ACC.

Nah he's a Gator. He probably thinks he's winning the championship this season as they always do. Anything that the Gata ever get they don't see coming.

Of yeah, Higgins for sure, including others. Again, Hill is good and will be drafted, but far from being the top ACC player drafted. The kid who right now is intriguing a lot in NFL front offices / scouting, but NFL Draft media hasn't caught on yet is Bandy. Scouts love his game and you'll be hearing a lot more about it come November.
