Every time one of our guys gets a big contract it needs to be sent out to all these recruits.

I genuinely think a lot of them have a perceived idea about Miami & Coaches from other programs use it to manipulate them.

It should be the main selling point in recruiting, if you really wanna get paid, come to The U.

Man we think alike!! I know their are players all over the professional world signing big contracts and making this money, BUT I think Miami needs to start praising their players in all sports when they are granted a contract signing (it really doesn't have to be big, just honor them just to shine the light on them for achieving an accomplishment at the highest level)!! AND of course by doing this it brings light to Miami University and that's what we want and need..

Brandon Linder is the highest paid Center in the NFL and that needs to be honored, it would've been nice for that to be announced weekend for the Paradise Camp.. BUT Congrats to the former Cane B. Linder, get that money$$$

Good for B-Lind. Jags did what the Dolphins hardly ever do. Lock up there young talent before they get priced out of the market when they becomes UFAs. They did the same with Hurns.

If this doesnt give motivation to guys like McDerm or Darling to step up and get going this year nothing will. Linder was no All American when he left UM but worked himself into the highest paid C in the league.

Not just the league, but the HISTORY of the NFL at the C position!

We are NFL U. No better selling point.

Awesome news, that OLine he was on here had a lot of talent...such a shame that we didn't ride it to more Ws.

Sidenote: I never understand why NFL contracts get reported as the potential total instead of the guaranteed money like every other sport does. Not that it matters, just a quirk I always find annoying.

Go to Bama and get a camaro or go to Miami and become the highest paid center ever.

Amen, El. "Even 3rd picks from THE U cash the big checks, so drop that brown bag and come play where the real money to heavy for a bag comes to earn."

That's the whole point, right? These kids are tripping over dollars to pick up pennies. Putting their long term $$ at risk for short term gain. And not because they're dumb, but because they don't know any better and the snake oil salesmen and street agents are around every corner... especially in South Florida.

These kids need to be shown the light of reason. Yeah, you may make a few quick bucks today at alabaga, o$u or ole ****, but if you forego that short term gain and play at the U you'll make that money back several times over. Think of the $$ you pass up as an investment that will yield greater long term returns.

Very well said Fly, that's exactly what I'm talking about.

Anytime one of our guys gets a big payday, its a good thing.

Hopefully down the road he remembers where he came from and comes back to the U to talk to the young guys.

I think he'll have a long, productive career. Good for him. :)

Awesome new for him.

Every time I think of Linder, I think about the time that he completely erased Aaron Donald from existence against Pitt in 2013. That was the Stacy Coley game where he went off if IIRC. I knew he was pretty **** good when he did that. Stud
