Lincoln Riley to L$U?

Here's me thinking Billy Napier makes too much sense - killing it in the same state, a Saban disciple, the ultimate hot up and coming young HC.

Then here's LSU trying to hire a perennial Playoff HC.

College football is wild.
Aint it? I want Miami to holler at Napier too. Dude doesn't get the respect he deserves.

Yeah, maybe this is my ignorance kicking in. I always assumed that OU was a better job than LSU. And they're both going to be part of the same conference soon. Not sure what advantages that LSU has (maybe in-state recruits) over OU.

I think you nailed it, maybe without realizing it. Oklahoma has very few recruits. They go into Texas hard. There are about to be three SEC schools in "Texas" if you include OU, which btw, is closer to Dallas than UT is, to give you an idea of their proximity.

Louisiana is a talent-rich state and LSU is king there, and the financial support is unlimited. The whole state is VERY passionate about the Tigers. You keep your kids home and you're good. It also might be a quality of life thing. Not sure you could pay me enough to live in OK TBH. LA is a pretty cool state though, especially Nola. You have real culture, the water, much better food. Who the **** goes to OK unless you have to?

Conversely though, his dogs are named Boomer and Sooner. 🤷‍♂️
