Some if the Shanahan comments coming out of the niners camp speak nicely on Likens
Intangibles make for a polished professional. Likens and new OC staff are going to get us charged up.Some if the Shanahan comments coming out of the niners camp speak nicely on Likens
Coach Kyle Shanahan said first-round rookie WR Brandon Aiyuk is "further ahead than a lot of rookies."
Shanahan continued, "He knows how to practice like a pro. You can tell he comes prepared every day. He’s not a guy you’ve had to teach how to act or teach how important it is to learn this stuff. You can tell he understood that before he got here."
This is the best thing I’ve heard in a long time!Likens couldn't have asked for a better situation. Very talented kids who were asked to play with lead boots (mismatched routes) and underwater (the offensive system). He can come into a spread system now where undersized WRs will be in space and asked to run the routes that fit them.
Receivers who looked overmatched trying to box out a stronger DB will now look "quick" or "elusive" running away from them. 5' 9" slots trying to catch fade routes will be asked to cross the face of Safeties running away from them. The same way Diaz's DL coach looked like Jesus post-D'Onofrio, Likens may look like a ******* magician.
Man, I wish I could like this post 100x.Don't forget Arizona St. has a NFL staff roaming the sidelines, led by Herm Edwards. Therefore, it's no surprise Aiyuk is ahead of the curve.
