There are a ton of games left to play. UGA could end up with 3 losses for all we know. Ou or bama could end with 3. Oregon with 2. OSU with 2….

I agree.. I guess for me it’s more WHO we lost to then having the two losses themselves, if you told me we’d lose two games b4 the szn started I’d be 90% sure ND was one of em ..

The team still has the whole thing in front of it. If we jumped 2 teams after beating VT, we will get in for sure beating Pitt by more than ND did and putting the narratives to rest.

I’m not saying we will jump ND. We won’t. But they will *not* be able to include them and exclude us without the noise being deafening. It’s already mainstream as it is.

We’ll see man, history tells me things like this don’t usually go Miami’s way but all we can control is handling our part and putting belt to *** this Saturday.

We are not jumping Alabama by beating Pitt. We are already in the same "pod" as bama and Notre dame and according to the Committee Chair we are slotted appropriately when compared to them.

Ask FSU how being head up vs bama on selection day works out. Ask last years Miami squad how being heads up vs alabama on selection day works out.

Pods are made up dude, as are all other narratives. The only thing that matters is public pressure, which those narratives are meant to funnel and control. Us beating Pitt by more than ND kills the only narrative justifying them getting in and not us, and they obviously want ND in.

I would bet you any amount of money that you want that this is wrong.

They want Notre dame in.

They have moved the goal posts every week for the last 3 weeks.

Eye test can’t be argued. That’s why they use that.

Head to head should mean everything and the committee has decided that it is inconsequential.

The committee wants ND in…. BAD! If the shoe was on the other foot, and we had lost to them., the rumblings from the committee would be, “Yes Miami may be playing as good as ND right now… but when the 2 teams played head to head, ND was the better team. I can’t unsee the scoreboard saying that ND beat Miami head to head. It means something. If not, why play the game? That’s why the Irish are ahead in the rankings even though they have the same record. They played the game. We all watched it.”
These muhfuccas want to minimize our win! They were hoping like **** that Pitt could stand up and shut us up, lol. Now the calls to include us in the playoffs will get a little louder.

Exactamente compadre. Before it was a hypothetical 10-2 vs 10-2 match up. Now it is real. And it doesn’t take a genius to figure out they want ND in and that if we squeaked by by 3 points, what they would be saying. “Notre Dame is the better team right now because they beat down Pitt and Miami didn’t, which is the most recent test”. We snatched that from them and flipped it. Clearly the better team to start, and end the season. Smfd *****.
