According to Gino in the media availability today, Ligon will pitch a 2-3 inning simulated game Friday. Best case scenario he's able to pitch 3-4 innings in the ACC tournament and then maybe in the regional.

Interesting. So the shoulder doesn't actually hurt when he pitches, but it basically gives him dead arm for light workouts the ensuing days, essentially only allowing him to pitch on game day. That obviously isn't workable, but I get why they are holding him out.
