Lightfoot Injury?

Anything on Toney, Buch, McCoy?
They won’t say anything about Mali. Clearly he has a bum shoulder. The more I thought about it, had he been healthy, they would have run Malicat on that 4th and 2 they screwed up. Hopefully it’s not a season long lingering thing.

Yea, I think Toney is banged up going back to Wake.

100%. We gotta get outside the tackles and stop being so predictable. A few counters, screens, QB runs and some misdirection could open things up big time.

Agree. That counter where Fletcher just walked into the EZ was beautiful. Not sure why we aren’t more multiple.

On the whole, a positive report. Hope he is right.

Our guys are like a Stretch Armstrong toy. Moten, McCoy, Lightfoot, Mali, Buchanan, Fletcher, Lofton. They’ve all been twisted in abnormal ways and just shake that stuff off.

Better analogy — We got a bunch of Bruce Willises in Unbreakable on this team. I’d be in the hospital like Samuel Jackson with multiple fractures.

Maybe am reading too much into it, but after listening to Mario and watching @DMoney clip, my impression is at least one of the guys who was injured then returned to play against Clemson is more seriously injured and may miss at least the FSU game.

Great news about Lightfoot though.

I just can’t wait to see what this defense looks like when we get a couple DB’s back and guys slide back into their normal positions. Bryce back at safety, Lucas/O’Conner is a great combo, if OJ gets back, that trio is about as good as it gets in college football. I think Dylan Day is gonna end up being the nickel on passing downs. Thornton is a 2-down guy at best. He’s just not a cover guy and the tackling is very concerning. They gotta put this man in front of a tackling dummy during the bye and get him working on his tackling technique. There’s no doubt he can make plays, but hes gotta finish. Too many times he’s had a sack or TFL and the QB, RB or WR slips away and they either get a first down or a big gain. Stuff like that will kill you in the ND game or the playoff when every play matters so much more.
