Wisconsin or another school offers AG and he accepts. Are Blake James and the BOT paying attention? Are they doing the work behind the scenes now so the UM doesn't get screwed in all of this when AG accepts (if he accepts)?

Are they talking now to Schiano, Davis (our favorites), and others (their favorites) so that the deal can get done quickly and the new coach can start immediately shoring up the recruiting class?

Man, I hope so. I sure hope they don't get stuck with their hands in their pockets out of a sense of loyalty to their current coach, and we end up with a scrub head coach or some interim title. Please please please let them be smart and aggressive with this.

Every AD has their short list and for as much as some of you hate Blake James you can bet that he certainly has his own short list
 
You can bet James' short lists are some Mormon short sleeve **** with tie cornball MF'ers who couldn't relate to the valet never alone inner city studs. Schiano the safest option. Lets just go with it!
 
James short list is of the different extension options he would offer to Golden if he was being approached by other schools.

Think so??? I really doubt it. Odds are Goldie bolts and BJ is left figuring out who, how much, when and it ruins recruiting for this year... I seriously doubt he will be ready. Please prove me wrong!

The answer to your question is no. We are the only dumbasses who think he might be leaving. Look around at the other forums, there is barely a whisper about this Wisconsin crap. Apparently, Golden thinks he has something to prove...that he was the right man for the job. He doesn't give a **** that we despise the very sight of him.

As such, Blake James, the biggest slurper of all, wouldn't dare dream of thinking of people to replace Al.

What's most important is not who is on our short list, but whose short list are we on? For example, i'm sure Garry Patterson is on our list, but I highly doubt we're on his.

If this happens, and Butch (Admin won't go for it) and Schiano (he turns us down a 4th time) don't come through, things start to look real ugly in terms of REALISTIC options for us. Be careful what you wish for here.
 
Hope he is working the phones now. If Golden leaves (prayers sent) we need to move quickly. No search consultancy group crap.

I would get told 'I'd be interested' or '**** no' by the following dudes BEFORE the opening actually occurs: Dantonio, Strong, Patterson, Bielema, etc. Save yourself some time.

After that elite group, start figuring out who your realistic candidates are so you can start interviewing people immediately and have a hire in place by Christmas.
