You mean a big tough talking leader being paid $4M/year isn't supposed to look totally shell shocked and clueless on the sideline???He’s soft. Has no idea how to hold people accountable and is incapable of commanding respect.
I get what you are saying. For most of us it’s hard to walk away. Miami fans are extremely loyal even though we sound negative most of the time. The past was so good to us.I wrote this up for a thread that was deleted
Agreed
But let's face it, Miami will never be back. You have a admin and BOT that are perfectly fine with 6-6 - 9/3, tickets and booster money coming in, and the program not in a negative light. If Mark Richt didn't retire, he could have been here as long as he wanted.
Also, the football program will never have the full buy in. You'll never see a buy in like Oklahoma, Alabama, and Georgia at Miami. It's reality and it sucks.
Honestly, I don't understand why the hardcore Miami fans do it to themselves. You know UM doesn't care about Miami football. So why should you care?
Yea. I've said this 100x on here since yesterday, but swear to God I'd be happy going triple option. Hire Monken, be a pain in the *** team that no one wants to play, win 8-9 every year with the occasional 10 win year and I'm happy. Done thinking of how we get back to glory. It ain't happening. Need to think outside the box.I wrote this up for a thread that was deleted

I don't. In another year or 2 I'll simply disappear to another job just like my AD predecessors. Who remembers them today??? 99% of threads are player/position coaches bashing. Most folks never remember this part of the shytshowSo why should you care?
I know it's hard to walk away and stop being a hardcore fan. But you can do it bro. I still want Miami to win, but I don't get emotional about a lose.I get what you are saying. I am definitely going to pull away some. It’s very depressing. I was a die hard dolphins fan also. I have slowly pulled away from that. That “U” on the helmet meant more than just a campus. It meant an attitude and way of thinking. To adjust from that is tough.
James returned to UM after spending seven years at the University of Maine, where he first served as Senior Associate Athletic Director before serving as Director of Athletics from 2005 to 2010. During his tenure at Maine, athletics experienced tremendous success, including three trips to the Frozen Four for the men’s ice hockey program and NCAA playoff berths for football, baseball (two), women’s basketball and softball. James implemented a comprehensive $17 million facility improvement plan at Maine, which included an indoor practice facility and numerous other facility upgrades and renovations. Academically, the program flourished, earning the conference academic cup twice and student-athletes maintaining a 3.0 GPA or above.
Prior to his stint at Maine, James worked in athletic development at Providence College, where he established the “Friars Forever” campaign and the Friar Athletic Fund.
James is no stranger to South Florida, beginning his athletic career with UM, working in ticket sales, corporate sales and athletic development. In 1995, he was hired as Miami’s Director of Ticket Sales, serving in that capacity until 1997, when he was named an athletic development officer at the University of Nebraska. He returned to Miami in 1998 as the Director of Major Gifts and Corporate Sales and was promoted to the Director of Athletic Development at Miami in 2000 before moving on to Providence in 2002.
