Let's not leave any bullets in the chamber - Kelly

F*ck, you people never stop with this do you?

Why do you always, always think the young guys who "flash" are a better bet on the field? Doesn't it strike you as odd that every single coaching staff chooses to play mostly older guys? Isn't it possible that in practice it becomes clear that the more experienced guys make fewer mistakes and are better at knowing where they should be? Isn't it possible that the guys who get paid to live and breathe football have a better sense of who to put in the game?

Try this. Your QB struggles and you scream that the FR on the bench has so much upside, why not get him in the game? Cool, coach benches the starter and puts the kid in. He has a rocky season, gets sacked a lot and throws as many INTs as TD. The following year, it's more of the same and you scream that this guy has been ruined by playing too early and what the team really needs is to put in the FR who's on the bench. And guess how that goes?

Final question...what's your explanation for the fact two completely different staffs have put Ivey on the field repeatedly? Sure, Manny sucked, but can't Mario see your point? Doesn't he at least know how smart and right you are?
Not in all cases. There is plenty of evidence that shows some freshmen are better than an upperclassman. I wouldn't doing so on a wholesale basis, but spot or two should be ok.

Sometimes it happens. But more often that FR flashes on a few plays but lacks something needed to play the position. He'll get there, but he doesn't have it today. Everybody wants player X on the field but they don't see him missing assignments in practice. They don't see the bad angles. They just remember that he was in the right place that one time in a game. Coaches have a lot more data and experience than fans, so it's a little annoying that fans always think they know better.

Agree completely. He should begin taking more and more of Harvey's snaps because up to this point in his career, Harvey just isn't extraordinarily twitchy or impactful. Roberts should play a lot too.

I know one thing we look totally different when Chase and Wesley in the game.. and please move Blades back to corner

ivey and flagg will be your starting players till you the day you die

flagg played decently last game too, so i'm not just hating on the guy for the sake of it. Finally had a good game.

Clearly not developed enough physically to hold up playing significant snaps. But he’s explosive enough to play 6-8 plays a game, preferably in the 2nd half when he’s completely fresh and the offensive tackles are gassed. Let’s be real though, that kid is getting swallowed more often than not against elite tackles. He needs about 30 pounds to be able to do anything but speed rush around the edge and be heavy in the rotation. He’s too talented to keep off the field entirely and he will definitely make some plays this year, but next season is when we’ll see the absolute terror that he’s going to become. Absolutely sky high ceiling.
