Let's go Pitt...

We really need Pitt to stop the Wahoo's tonight to have any chance. ****** wins tonight and we are out of the Coastal, correct?
No, UVA just has to lose 2 of 3 to Pitt/VT/GT. So they could beat Pitt and we still could make it if we win out and they lost to GT and VT. But yeah, we definitely are pulling for Pitt bigtime tonight.

That equation isn't much different than the Golden years.....

Once you start rooting for other teams to lose, to win, and start counting up point dif&erentials, your cooked. Besides, this team appears to be in such disarray offensively it’s ridiculous to think of crap like winning out. I mean, what team have you been watching? Put away your slide rule man. There’s a good chance you won’t need it after tomorrow.

Do we really want to get a** raped by Clemson in Charolette. I will take a pass.

the herald drew out some scenario where if we beat VT and they beatUVA its a 3 way tie, and it works in our favor, not sure if true

We don't want any scenario , why because we do not know what Canes will come out of the tunnel. They can be in the tunnel being held back with chains and riot police just trying to control them, then the second there released they're like dogs skirting there butts across the carpet with there nose in the air trying to get there worms out of there arzz.

We just do NOT have the fire and the mental fortitude to do battle at any level for (4) quarters let alone for one series , geez a TV time out at the wrong time kills everything and we start letting the 25 second clock run out and to many men on the field and we go straight to a shank into the Dr Pepper guy.

Don't get mad at me for this , I didn't cause these things we've been seeing , no KOOLAIDE here any more.

I would rather FSU be the worst whipping Clemson gives out this year. Not us. Thank you.

That article was very confusing. They made it like if we beat VT and VT beats UVA and wins out that we would get in. But if there is a 3 way tie between UVA and VT, then it comes down to coastal record where VT would have 2 losses which would eliminate them and then UVA would go over us based of head to head. We need to win out and we need UVA to lose 2 out of 3. The only interesting part of the article was if you go strictly off of who is favored moving forward, we would win the coastal. That means UVA will be under dogs on the road against GT and VT and that we are favored to win the rest of our games as of right now.

No doubt. And the sad thing is we should have cake walked to Charlotte this year. The UVA and BC loses were two of my alltime most frustrating losses in the decades I have followed Miami. And it's not like the ball bounced the wrong way and we were unlucky to lose either game. We got straight handled by both of them. UGH!!! Freakin boils my blood.

Anyways, below is the 3-way tiebreaker in the ACC. I believe based on #1 and #2 there is a way we could still go if we finish in a 3-way tie with VT and UVA. But obviously we would much prefer to win out and have the Hoos lose 2 games - both of which are possible - and be guaranteed to take the division. Sadly though, we have no right to even be in Charlotte based on those last two dreadful performances.

Three-Team (or More) Team Tie:
(Once a team is eliminated from the tie, the tie-breaker procedures restart for the remaining teams. If the three (or more) team tie can be reduced to two teams, the two-team tiebreaker format
will then be applied.)

1. Combined head-to-head win percentage among the tied teams.
2. Win percentage of the tied teams within the division.
3. Head-to-head competition versus the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference win percentage, and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken first to last, using the league’s tie-breaker policies.
4. Combined win percentage versus all common non-divisional opponents.
5. Overall win percentage versus non-divisional opponents.
6. Win percentage versus common non-divisional opponents based upon their order of finish (overall win percentage) and proceeding through other common non-divisional opponents based upon their divisional order of finish.
7. The tied team with the higher ranking by the Team Rating Score metric provided by SportSource Analytics following the conclusion of regular season games.
8. The representative shall be chosen by a draw as administered by the Commissioner or the Commissioner’s designee.

The first tie breaker everyone is tied. The second tie breaker eliminates VT since they would have 2 coastal losses(GT and UM) and UVA and Miami would only have one coastal loss. According to the first part which is in parenthesis, this eliminates VT and then it's up to head to head with us and UVA and why we would not go in a three way tie breaker.
