Unlikely but would be the PERFECT weekend for cane football

*Gators lose.
*Notre Dame loses.
*FSU struggles enough with usf to show more weakness might even drop in rankings one spot (probably jumped by Tennessee)
*Georgia gets blown out (ranked 12th)
*Michigan state gets blown out (ranked 8th)

As of now nobody should theoretically jump us maybe Baylor but doubtful so we will probably move up to 13

Arizona has Washington at home at 10:30 tonight (eastern)

UCLA has Stanford at home now

Either of them pull off an upset or miracle happens and both do we will be rocking 11th tomorrow. Personally I think Arizona has a solid shot, ucla not so much but you never know and we've been lucky with this so far this year

Ipf, new jerseys, and teams ahead of us losing is a great week. Not to mention 2 coastal teams catching an L(gt and Pitt)

I take no pride in moving up the rankings by default of not playing anyone and not having a chance to lose or win on our own.

I think we move up 1 spot to 14 because of Georgia. I highly doubt Michigan State drops below 15. We still have to worry about Baylor and Arkansas jumping us also.

I respect that. I like the rankings game and how it all ends up working out. It gets me involved in other games unrelated to canes which is nice since I enjoy any football really..

I don't take pride in moving up in that way but moving up is never a bad thing that's for sure

Speaking of which touchdown ucla 7-3 after one

Idk. I would have agreed with you if it was close but Michigan state got OWNED.

Not to mention they struggled against a nobody last week and Michigan states best win is against a 1-3 notre Dame team that just lost to Duke. They had a rough weekend to say the least

While I get what you're saying, I'll always take the artificial jump, because you there are enough times when you win a game and don't move up simply because the guy ahead of you didn't lose. I'd rather us be the guy that didn't lose and didn't get jumped.
 
Lets win a conference game before we start long stroking each other about how great we are
 
Long season guys so much football to be played. ACC costal champs and 10+ win season is what im hoping for.
 
Other teams losing have no affect one way or the other...we don't need or care for teams fates unless they are on our schedule....we control where we end up...off the film from the 3 JV squads we have faced...i will wait and see...because all cane fans have seen this before...i hate how some fans root for unranked teams to beat other ranked teams...

one game down, Washington and Arizona tied at 14..just enough to get our hopes up ha

Washington also plays Stanford next week

Arizona > Washington then Washington > Stanford is best case for the canes

Shaw gave them the game! Jim Mora Jr, Jim Mora Sr'd this game away. I absolutely hate the Prevent Defensive Scheme, especially when there's 2 mins left to play.
