I honestly believe richt is suffering from dementia

can we just TRY and run some power I formations with 2 TE's and jeff thomas and cager/hightower on the outside

my god we might even see a crossing route

this goes back to ages though, go watch the 99 fsu vs vatech game and even the announcers flat out say fsu doesn't throw to the tight end

maybe it was the 2000 miami vs fsu game I forget

frankly i'm dealing with food poisoning, fck everything, fck this planet, fck richt, fck the clutch in my car, fck the girl next door

fck it all

Would make sense for a young qb who we all suspect has trouble reading a defense...PA, roll him out and give him 2 reads, tuck and run, or throw away.

But our OC is a ******, so.

How about running Gary Stevens pro set with Homer and Dallas in the backfield at once? We tried it once IIRC this year but never bothered to bring it out again.

Yeah, I can't imagine why we don't have designed roll-out plays for Perry. He excels at it, and some of his best throws are when he is forced to roll out because of pressure. Yet it seems our playbook is primarily pass plays where the QB sits back and waits a long time for some outside route to develop...while the weak O-line is falling apart in front of him. I especially love when we do that on our frequent 3rd and 6 or 7...and instead of a quick out to our amazing athletes at WR, RB, or TE, we step back and try to throw a 25 yard pass along the sideline.

I understood not moving the pocket with Rosier. He can’t throw on the move. With Kosi, the lack out designed roll outs is bafffling.

Exactly as you mentioned, we have a weak OL and a QB that is accurate on the move. Combine that with how we just do not attack the middle of the field, and it seems so obvious. Extra time for the QB, extra time for these gross routes to develop, the potential for the QB to pick up yards with his feet...

Again, we do nothing to help our guys out by scheming away from their weaknesses. Richt just blindly hammers away no matter who the personnel is.

I couldn’t watch the game on Sat and was only able to find the condensed version today. The amount of vertical or deep out routes was comical. On kosi’s First pick, there were 2 receivers right next to each other running verticals. The announcer even commented that the single high safety had nothing else to do but drop back and wait for the ball.

There’s not much I can add that others haven’t pointed out. The offense is stale.

I got a feeling that's the offense he wants to run, but we don't have the personnel to. Jones and Mahoney aren't moving anyone. Can't run a power-I run game when your guards get blown the fvck up every play.

Can't run I Formation and Pro Set when your center is getting knocked back into the hand off by a DB.

Yeah, that drives me crazy. Even my 14 year old son can clearly see it. Drives him nuts when it's third and less than 10 and we send all of our receivers on deep routes. On one 3rd and 7 that's exactly what happened, and the throw ended up going to a short receiver (Pope) against a taller defender, along the sideline, where he had to attempt to outjump the taller guy, about 25 yards down the field. Pope should be used in a crossing route or quick curl play in the middle of the field on a 3rd and 7, not a forced pass 25 yards down field along the sideline. We have talent but don't seem to use it. How can an OC NOT take advantage of having such dynamic playmakers and simply get the ball in their hands and let them get the 6-7 yards on short passes?

I’ve been asking myself all day where Richt got this RPO fascination from. Did he run it at Georgia? I remember them as a power team. He gave up playcalling around 2006, and RPO wasn’t as prevelant then.

Who does he model his offense after? I don’t think he really even faced RPO teams in the SEC. The Tim Tebow gators maybe?

The whole RPO expirament just needs to be scrapped. Another thread mentioned how we adjusted for the last 5 games of ‘16 and Kaaya dominated.

Seems so simple. Maybe Richt needs a refresher course. Hey!

This. It like he forgets that he has different plays and formation in his playbook. It like he forgets to run a bubble screen with the Safety is playing 80 yards off the slot.

It like he forgot that he ran the wildcat with Dallas vs ND.

His QB draw designs were SO much better last year.
