Lets Debate : Rank the last 10 starting RB for the Canes .

Most NFL Rushing Yds from a RB who played at Miami in the last 20 years:

1. Lamar Miller - 5,864
2. Gus Edwards - 3,760
3. Duke Johnson - 2,265
4. DeeJay Dallas - 538
5. Travis Homer - 474

Gus wasn't even mentioned in the backups

Gus is easily the #1 most disrespected RB of the last 10 years

Gus had his moments but just wasn't the kind of impacftul player here that he turned out to be in the NFL. Blame coaching, motivation, whatever..

I 100% agree with you on that

My Top 10 RB's would be:

Tier 1
1 - Duke

Tier 2
2 - Martinez
3/4 - Homer/Dallas - depends on the day you ask me who I'd say is better
5 - Fletcher

BIG GAP

Tier 3
6/7 - Yearby/Harris
8/9/10 - Walton/Parrish/Knighton

I can see arguments for ranking the Top 5 differently
I can see arguments for ranking the Bottom 5 differently
I can't see much of an argument for any Bottom 5 RB being in the Top 5

Marty Brown is the best backup of the bunch you listed.
Gus Edwards - as mentioned - would be the real best backup.
Special shouts to Thad Franklin Jr. for having 1910 career college rushing yards and 20 career rushing TDs at a **** 5.2 clip.
 
So much of a running back’s production is reliant on his teammates. Some guys on the list had incredible lines blocking for them. Some guys had explosive passing games that opened up defenses and made it easier to run.

For me, the list is:

1. Duke Johnson
And then a whole bunch of different guys who could be ranked 2-10.

I assume the discussion is about college production. There are probably guys with more NFL yardage that couldn’t carry Duke’s jockstrap as a college running back.
