No matter what kind of great turnaround the slurpers claim can happen, this season is over.

We are NOT a contender for the Coastal (guranteed losses against Free Shoes and at VT, and if you think we sweep the rest of the awful Coastal, ie GT, UNC, Duke, UVA and Pitt, I will ask "why? We've never done it before?") and we play a bad, but ranked, winning record team at Nebrska, which history says we get blown out at.

So. What is a successful season? 8-4, third in the Coastal?

Is that some sort of validation of this staff?

Or is a miracle 9-3 and 3rd in the Coastal the golden tickert?

To me, winning the Coastal is the absolute minimum that we could do to have a season worthy of anything but a firing of the whole staff.

Whats your standard?

And don't say "improvement". Too many slurpers claimed last year's 3rd in the Coastal and a blowout mid level bowl game was an improvement. It was not.

Unless these coaches take on the the brains of those with a clue on football 101, why bother proposing the impossible

Had to win the coastal and I don't see that happening. I can't see is losing less then 4 games: Neb, FSU, VTech.

So yes I want him gone if we don't win 10 games and win the Coastal

the only improvement IMO is a complete change in staff. Let us not fool ourselves. We aint getting any better. We will win some but the good teams are going to eat us alive. NOT because of lack of talent but because of lack of talent at coaching.

Also I want to go on record here, FAMU or Arky state are NOt guarantees! Remember when Bethune hung 400+ yards on us and we had to claw out a win?

I think you're too optimistic-- I've been saying since early offseason that with our schedule and this staff we could legitimately go 5-7... I'm feeling like Nostrodomus over here after the way I was "shouted down" for such a grim preseason forecast. Turns out, I'm probably right.

9-3 and they will keep him......bank on it.

Anything less, and you MAY see him get canned, at least a lot of the staff will.

Of course, these idiots let him swindle them for wayyyy too big a buyout so theres that complication as well.

I would tell you what my standard is, but I would have axed him tonight. **** was one of way too many embarassing games during this tenure. Its glaringly obvious that he isnt the right guy. Unfortunately the people with the pocket protectors have zero instincts when it comes to this ****, and usually it takes them a whole other year before they realize it too.

Agree with OP. Already looking forward to Canes basketball. Coach L is all we have left to cheer about.

Bro, this team woulda won the coastal last year if coach L was our football coach. At least he gets the most out of his players and sets them up to succeed.
