Fire Blake and let Manny finish the year. It’s not his fault he wasn’t ready for this and he tried. He shuffled coaches rapidly and it’s still not working. He can maybe figure out the HC thing at a lower division.
We don’t need to get ugly about it and fly planes, trash the players etc like past years. The school needs to see this and make the move.
Let’s be professional and admit it’s not a fit and move forward a positive plan because we are a coach and a couple recruiting classes away from competing for the ACC title every year.

Blake needs to go but it’s also terrifying what an AD search would look like. I picture DiMare, Miller, Epstein cobbling together a search committee that would include Vilma. Not sure how that would go but would probably include back channel communications with Mario’s agent to see who he wants and would come work for.

I could see it all playing out very poorly like almost everything else with this university does. I’m guessing Frenk doesn’t even know what an AD does. If we ended up with Mario and an AD of his choosing and Alonzo in some sort of support role, it would be a minor miracle.

More likely we end up with some G5 AD and HC and go with the wing and a prayer approach.

Bingo. BOT is happy with the progress therefore, no one will be losing their job this year. Either you can accept it, continue to watch the product. Or you can take your fandom and money elsewhere.

What must be done eventually should be done immediately.

You fire him BECAUSE of the recruits. Let them know you actually care as a school. Put Simpson as interim and you might actually see some improvement as well. The players won't play for Manny anymore, that's obvious.

This, in theory, would be great but we don’t have the power to fire Blake or we would’ve been gone years ago.

Unfortunately, this is going to get ugly because it’s the only way the current administration gets that they have a major problem.

I tried to give Manny the benefit of the doubt but it’s crystal clear coaching is still a major problem, discipline is a major problem, effort is a major problem.

Blake needs to go and then the new AD can find a coach. And I agree if they let Blake go this week many here would relent a little knowing Manny is likely out the door at the end of the year.
 
Dude, Miami’s play is ugly just like Manny’s teeth! Fire him and the AD at once and tell Manny to use some of his $3 million dollars to get veneers or implants.
And if he’s really that cheap, which it sounds like it, he can always go to the Dominican republic and Get it at a fraction of the price!! LOL

Sorry, after 5 failed coaches I think loyal alum and fans can be salty. If I were an alum I'd be ****ed my alma mater throws good money after bad. Let me tell you my son graduates in May. He said to me, "dad you think I'm coming back to watch this ***** show?"

A professional administration would clear out Hecht by thanking them for their contributions, wishing them the best, taking their university credentials and escorting them to the front door preferably without security.

100% agreed. I like Manny, he tried - he's not afraid to make changes when needed - he's just not it, not ready, and not capable of being a championship coach right now, maybe never. Whether or not CMD needs to fired immediately is above my paygrade, but I don't harbor any ill will towards him.
