Let’s discuss tackling

From my experience of playing and watching football, tackling is mostly a result of toughness, and desire. We need to stop protecting the roster from injuries and should have been tackling as much as the rules would allow during fall camp.

Now we have to get conditioned for tackling the least desirable way when it counts, while playing games. I predict the tackling to not be up to standards until week 3-4.

Maybe it’s the talent on our team or maybe it’s coaching but we are not doing well enough simulating game speed and conditions in practice. We’re thudding and rolling through the hips then going play top golf though. Resiliency and toughness is not built with speeches.
