Having coached in the SEC West, and averaging 11 wins a year in 10 years at LSU is very impressive! Granted, he does not have a quarterback and hasn't had one for a while, which is cause for concern. He is my number one choice, even above butch. Does anyone know if he would insist on bringing cam Cameron with him? Resume is way too hard to ignore any makes $4.3 million now but you have to think that his market value would go down a little bit having been fired.

I have pause about hire any coach, even Miles, who is being driven out of town by a fan base for not winning enough. How many 10 win, non NC, seasons before we start flying banners?

Beyond that, his horrible offenses and lack of identification and development of a competent quarterback are huge red flags for me. No thanks to Les, especially at the price he's likely to command.

To the untrained eye his record may seem impressive and on that basis alone make him a desirable hire just like it would to think the same about Larry Coker's impressive record at Miami.
It's no coincidence that Miles's best years were his first 3 at LSU when he was winning with Saban's players. After, his record starts taking a dive which to me is not offset his one other MNC run in 2011.
One also has to consider his motivation level to get Miami back to the top, his ability to recruit the challenges that come with recruiting for Miami. Does he have true deep ties rooted on relationships or would it be based on depending on street agents which would present a huge liability for this program.
Sorry to many red flags for me for his fools gold LSU record to mask.

No.
