Les Miles

Miles great recruiter and can stockpile talent - thanks, in part, to ridiculously low admission standards and friendly alums - but a silly, unpredictable game-day coach. Would be down the list of guys you want running a big-time program.

A few things:

1) Miles is not particularly well liked in Baton Rouge (my folks live there and I hear a fair amount of the chatter), they are all still hung up on Saban leaving and have always had a Miles inferiority complex

2) Can't really compare Miles first four years to Golden, Saban left the team stocked

3) That (bs) penalty inside the 5 may have lost the game for them, Saban was blitzing everybody and I am sure Miles would have pulled a play-action touchdown out of his hat

4) I am personally a big fan of Miles. While I do agree the SEC is overrated, going through that schedule without a ding is nearly impossible. Miles always has his guys ready to play and I don't think people appreciate how young their team is this year, yet he still went toe-to-toe with Saban. Not sure what I think offensively, but I would take their defense year in and year out over anyone in the country.

Don't care about the Golden angle but LSU fans should be grumbling. Can the guy find a legit qb? There are to many seasons that this guy trots out some bum to play qb for them. If I'm an LSU fan I would be a little tired of that ****.

It's much harder to pay for elite QBs, save for the Cam Newton/Jameis freak athlete no brain types. You think Andrew Luck's and Robert Griffin's and Russell Wilson's families were looking for a handout?

You would think since the reason the mouth breathers say kids choose LSU is "SEC" and "the girls" and "the stadium" would also draw the top prep QBs. But curiously, it doesn't. It's bc most of those type of QBs come from families that aren't going to take a bribe in exchange for a commitment.

Has lost 4 in a row to Bama now including two at home in the last minute. Should LSU fans be calling for his head the way Canes fans are for Al being 0-3 against FSU?

No, we're calling for his head because at the training table, he hogs the mashed potatoes.

Les Miles is 5-6 against Alabama. If Al Golden went 5-6 against Alabama I'd probably still want him fired, but wouldn't actually say that out loud.

I would say LSU football is too much about Les than the players and I'll say he can't beat the top school(s) consistently in his own conference. If Les would like some excuses as to why The Ol' Excuse Corch can teach him a few things.

Melissa McCarthy and Miranda Kerr both got their periods last month. That means McCarthy looks just like Kerr.

Hes won 10+ games in 7 of the last 9 years, including three 11 win season and one 12 and 13 win season each. Hes been to two MNC. He's 102-27(55-23) at LSU. You serious?

Is that supposed to be an earth-shattering point to a pro-Golden argument? Since Les has been there (2005) he has won a national title (2007), played for another (2011), two SEC championships (2007 and 2011), has a current record of 95-24 (52-20) in the toughest conference, and is 5-3 in bowl games that include (Sugar Bowl, BCS Title x2, Chick-Fil-A Bowl x2, Capital One, Cotton, and Outback).

If you want to look at his first four years for apples-to-apples:

44-11 (22-10)
One National Title
One SEC Championship

3-1 in Top Tier bowl games.

If Golden had any **** to show for in his first three years maybe no one would be calling for his head.

End thread.

He's also going on his 3rd straigt season with 3 or more losses with a high possibility of 4 loss season. This is with having top rateI'm classes. Add to this his record vs Bama and their shut out loss in the MNC game and yes Im Serious

Miles is basically following Cokers path of winning a MNC with the previous coachs players followed by a descent.
Those of you who were calling for Cokers head would be doing the same if you were LSU fans.
