Ten years down the line, you look back and Mario has a run like this. Would you take it today? Or want to flip the script in three years if he has not won 10 games?

Two natties in 10 years would be phenomenal. If in year 3 Mario hasn't won 10 games then that's a head scratcher. It most likely means he's too stubborn and still running an antiquated offense and still making bad gameday decisions.

Year 3 should be the year where we are guarenteed 9 wins. That is unless there's 1-2 heartbreaking losses. That would also mean most likely losses to the Gators, the Irish, and the Noles (or some other ACC team we always lose to i.e UNC). That would be no bueno.

I like Les and you cannot argue with his record (or at least you shouldn't) but LSU fans hated his conservative offense. Especially his last few years.

If the Offensive is similar here for the next ten years I can only imgine the conversations despite the wins.

Can't clap - wouldn't take

Les Miles offense didn’t matter back then because it was pre the full air-assault era that we have been seeing for the last few years. They were battling Bama with a stacked D, and Bama was a run first team back then.

That is not the case anymore. Most top programs can and will carve opposing D’s up with the spred/RPO up tempo passing attack to set up the run.

The reason why there are no longer elite defenses in CFB, is because spreading the field and going up tempo evens out the odds some and allows for good OC’s to dictate the play calling depending on the numbers advantage that they have on any given play by the look that the D gives them.

If Mario insists on trying that here, we’re likely to get the same results or similar to this season.

Les had a great run but given the talent should have been much better. been down for so -amn long
would take 10 for a good period of time. Les Miles is the absolute perfect comparison for CMC at this point in time
great recruiter, conservative to a fault on offense and awful clock mgmt skills.

Yes. I would take Dabo’s too. I mention him because I think they are done and won’t win it all again under him.

Why are we comparing anything to Les Miles, who couldn't be a more different character and personality than Mario.

Total riverboat gambler-type. All kinds of crazy, risky calls in that 2007—that he wound up on the right side of, thankfully for him.

Don't see how any career he had in Baton Rouge could be compared to what Cristobal built in Oregon or wants to build in Miami.

I would pass.

1 natty. 2 ACC championships and win the coastal 3 times in 12 years. I know we haven’t done ****, but I fully expect Mario to beat that, maybe not the natty but definitely the conference and division championships if things don’t change too drastically which they’re probably going to.

If we end up in the SEC or big 10 super conference then I would have to reevaluate it
