Leonard Taylor committing 8/6

manny was asking JJ for advice from beginning. He was also handcuffed by richt on who he can recruit and Kool can offer whoever he wanted. Im still not a fan but he shows a willingness to adjustment and he clearly craves speed.

the only aspect of the team that reminded me of a little bit of old miami in terms of violence, play, and attitude was the defense during the richt tenure. im fine with manny for now as long as he improves but the one thing im glad he isnt is stubborn. he isnt afraid to step in on his hand picked DC and isnt afraid to admit that he made a mistake on his high priced OC hire

I’m not taking it that far. Lol.
However,
Governors are under a lot of pressure right now with covid numbers rising and icu’s over capacity.
There is real fear that a shut down is coming again. Any elite recruit from down here is probably getting hit up for one last go round on campus (of course no coaches or staff right 😉) like jdub crossing state lines by coincidence. If the season is cancelled and campuses are closed kids can’t have an excuse on why they showed up in Gainesville when they the state is closed and you can’t even park on campus.

It would Make sense that the last remaining Uncommitted 5 stars In sofla just happened to be taking unscheduled trips to Athens and Gainesville.
The number one defensive tackle in the country isn’t coming here without a fight.
But if he’s that much of a lock as everyone on here has been saying he wouldn’t be taking that trip.

Again, only if true. It’s just a freaking post on here.
But honestly the whole taylor coming to Miami seemed a bit too easy for a player of his caliber and this had to be expected.

2 players come to mind. Harris and Ingraham. All were cane locks allegedly and took one trip to bama and it changed faster than a stripper jumping out of your lap when rapper shows up at the club.
Now obviously Uf/Mullen isn’t bama/saban. But it’s still sec and even we had a blue chip offensive tackle visit us recently.
But all these high confidence crystal huevos were poppin off and I’m like “nah this is too easy”.
We’re going head to head with FSU for a 3 star for Christ sake!
You don’t think uf boosters are hitting up that staff in Gainesville and asking wtf is up with the best DT in the nation And why is he going to Miami?!!!

yeah, im interested to see what this defense can do with an offense that cant keep it off the field.

@Dwinstitles one difference in MD from Richt and Golden is MD is miami. he loves the city and loves the program. its his dream job. Golden looked up to paterno and richt looked up to Bobby Bowden.
I think last year was a scare for MD and he was like I will never get a HC gig again, he was like bag up fuq it. I think the fear of being fired fast scared him

This is such a tired narrative. Idc what Saban’s, Coach O’s, or Dabo’s record was before they won a title. Please compare the staff they had under them, to ours right now. Who you taking? We do not have a good enough staff to make up for any head coach who isn’t elite.

IT. IS. NOT. THE. SAME.

No, what you posted is the tired narrative of the woe-is-me, soft shouldered fair weather Canes fan.

Let's look at that LSU championship staff compared to Miami. The question is AT THE TIME THEY WERE HIRED, who would you pick based on accomplishments.

I'll do offense 1st.

OC: The reason LSU put up lopsided numbers on offense was Joe Brady. I'm not even considering Ensminger because no one in their right mind would take Ensminger over Lashlee. Now between Lashlee and Brady- do you take the guy who ran a top 10 offense at SMU or a guy whose highest college position prior to being the de facto OC/WR coach was grad assistant at Penn State? Yeah I think we know the answer to that. Edge: Miami

WR coach- Brady vs Likens
Unknown grad assistant vs former ASU OC. Edge: Miami

OL coach: Cregg vs Justice
Cregg bounced between NFL and college. Lots of OL coaching experience. No HC experience. Justice lots of college coaching experience, plus 4 years of being a college HC. Both highly qualified. Edge: Push

Tommy Robinson vs Hickson
Robinson has decades of experience plus was a Canes coach. Edge: LSU

TE coach: None vs Stephen Field
Lsu didnt have a full time TE coach (had a grad assistant).

Offense summary:
OC: Miami
OL: even
WR: Miami
RB: LSU
TE: Miami

So just on offense, if you were to look at LSUs staff at the beginning of their 2019 championship compared to Miami's current staff, Miami crushes LSU in terms of qualifications and experience.

I guess were just omitting defense? And for people who watched the Saints knew putting Brady with a seasoned vet was a great move. “Unknown grad assistant” is a joke. It’s basically like hiring Eric Bieniemy without “real experience” bc he wasn’t the official OC even though a lot of the offense is him working with Andy Reid.

You're also forgetting Coach O is a much better recruiter than Manny will ever be and his S&C program is elite.

Okay let’s slow down. Lol we’re late to the party and uncle nick is pushing but we are indeed closer than what people think.
But this new update had to change things. He can’t possibly see what’s happening and just baulk. I’ve been around too long not to know it’s not going to make a big difference.
