I caught up with 2025 Trinity Christian (FL) QB Colin Hurley, who was a name that was mentioned all throughout camp today. Colin, a Miami native who plays in Jacksonville, Florida, is starting to get really comfortable with this current staff in Coral Gables. Hurley has racked up 23 offers and counting, including recent offers from LSU and Ohio State.

His visit with LSU in Baton Rouge went better than expected as he got high praise from Tigers’ Head Coach Brian Kelly. His most recent visit of Ohio State was felt to be treated as a business trip, as Colin decided to walk from the hotel of where he was staying in Columbus, Ohio to the camp before landing the offer.

After only visiting 3 camps this summer in LSU, OSU and now Miami, Colin was yet again a top performer at Legends Camp in Coral Gables but it was what Hurley did off the field that will catch most by surprise. Earlier at Legends Camp today, 2025 Pensacola Catholic (FL) WR Kobyy Howard suffered a leg injury which led him to be carted off and taken to the hospital. Colin, after having a great camp, went with his father over to the hospital where Colin expressed his feelings towards the young man, giving him words of encouragement as they prayed.

Colin’s presence today was felt on and off the field as his leadership traits were shown. The relationship Miami Head Coach Mario Cristobal and QB Coach Frank Ponce have built with him is one that I see to continue in a positive direction for the Canes.

Colin wasn't just the best quarterback today but possibly the best human being.

You should try to get in with ESPN cause that was gayyy as fuggg. Cool anecdote, but not something to base an article around imo. You caught up with the kid but didn’t have a single quote from him.
